Very Good

“Made our trip a time to remember”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2015

We sure were lucky to have booked with Ben and Jen in the last minute when our other accommodations didn't work out. We were traveling with our two teenagers and were happy to use a home cooked meal service that Ben and Jen offer, it was great to have such a hardy meal waiting after a long day of sightseeing. They were also really helpful with ideas of places to visit that our children really enjoyed. Wish we had known of Ben and Jen's place earlier.

Owner's reply: It was our pleasure! hope to see you again someday. All the best

“A unique experience in an amazing land with knowledgeable & fun hosts”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2015

We had an amazing holiday at Ben & Jen's Galilee B&B. The sights, experiences, education, and B&B itself make us want to return as soon as we can get away again! The B&B: Located in what seemed to be the middle of everywhere, we looked out to the Sea of Galilee, walked on the Golan Heights, looked into Syria, Jordan, and Lebanan, and visited a multitude of hidden historical gems only minutes away. We stayed in what felt like a separate guest house with large rooms throughout. The bedroom had the most comfortable bed, the livingroom had two sofas, one of which was a comfortable sleeper. The kitchen had all that we wanted, and the bathroom was stocked with all we needed. Being part of Ben & Jen's home had delightful benefits that included delicious oranges right off the tree becoming the freshest juice in your glass. The family kitchen and family room welcomes you, with coffee and breakfast that make you feel your mom made them. Perhaps the best part of the morning is being greeted by the sweetest (and largest) pooch - complete with companion cat - who are accomplished 4-legged hosts. If you're lucky Ben & Jen's wonderful family will stop by, and you will be regaled by colorful stories around a fire in the yard. The sights: Jen is an amazing tour guide, packing more into 5 days than seemed humanly possible - and still we had time to relax and gaze across the beauty of the land. Ben's military experience provided a unique perspective with his first hand accounts of events and issues between Israel and neighboring countries. You can envision the conflicts that occured in the lands we were walking through. As we drove and walked, Jen's knowledge of the Bible and Israeli history enhanced our understanding of this land where it all began. A walking encylopedia, her color commentary was impressive and left us wanting for more. We even came home after a full day of touring and watched an educational DVD provided in our room to continue our educational journey. Highlights included floating in the Dead Sea, Capernaum, Beit Shean Roman ruins, Magdala, Masada, the Museum of Underground Prisoners, and wonderful sites in the Old City of Jerusalem - Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Western Wall, gates of Jerusalem, the market, and walking the sections of the city. We had a fantastic time, learned a great deal, and met new friends.

Owner's reply: We had a lot of fun too. Come again we found more things to show you for the next time

The warmth, comfort and charm of both Ben & Jen made us feel welcomed, safe and part of their lives. They were willing to share Israel, the culture and and their ways so we were able to show our respect, caringness and love to Israel and the diversity of people. Their friendship made it difficult to leave and still remain Internet friends.

Owner's reply: We hope to see you again

“Wonderful hospitality”

Jen and Benji are some of the sweetest people we met on our trip to Israel. We are eager to return to their BnB and stay much longer. It's really cool to have been so far away from home and yet come across someone who was born in America (Jen), but who knew how us American's thought. We even had spaghetti for dinner one night. How fun. We didn't stay as long as we wanted but their place is amazing. One (if not the only) wood build house in the whole region sitting right above the Sea of Galillee. Breathtaking view. They have a lot of neat activities we just didn't have time to explore and will next time on our trip. We made instant friends with them and we've stayed in contact since our trip. We'd rate their BnB as an excellent value for the price (which is pretty inexpensive which made it easy for us on a budget as we look ahead to another visit). Great people, knowledgeable about the area, region and culture. Instant friends.

Owner's reply: We hope to see you again soon
