“Spacious, well presented villa on the outskirts of Paphos”
Lovely villa on the outskirts of Paphos. Booking the villa was straight forward and the owners Gavin & Hannah were very helpful. Villa was spacious, well fitted out and very clean. Pool and outside area very nice, great place to eat or relax. Nice views from the first and second floor over Paphos and of great sunsets. There is parking for one car off the road but the road is very quiet anyway if you have more than one. You really need a car if you are going to stay here, it's about 10 minutes drive into the center of Paphos. The area is quiet, residential but not much within easy walking distance. There is a major road runs 100m behind the villa grounds but it is in a cutting so you don't see the traffic and the noise wasn't really intrusive. All in all, we had a great stay and would certainly recommend the villa to others.
Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive review, glad that we were helpful, we always try to make our guests stays as easy and stress free as possible, thank you for your communication prior to your stay and thank you for recommending our villa to others. We look forward to hearing from you in the future. Best Wishes Gavin & Hannah
“A lovely, well equipped villa.”
A lovely modern villa which is very well equipped. The outside area is beautiful with lovely views from the bedroom balcony & roof top terrace.
“Fantastic villa in a exclusive area”
Booked this villa in paphos with Gavin ( very nice gentleman with a lot of information at hand and very helpful ) and it was fantastic, the villa was very clean and tidy and felt like home when we walked in. the outdoor pool area was perfect for sunbathing as you got the sun all day, the villa is in a lovely quiet area of Konia about 10 minutes drive from paphos where there is lots to do. I would recommend a car to get around the island and would recommend this villa as a base as its perfect location and home comforts. thank you Gavin for an easy booking and a perfect stay.
“Lovely villa and a perfect stay”
We had a brilliant holiday and we couldn't have been happier with the villa. As soon as you step through the door it is clear that a lot of thought and care is put into the property to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay- which we certainly did! It completely exceeded our expectations and had everything you could need. Booking the holiday was a breeze thanks to Gavin & Hannah's communication and helpfulness. Before we had even arrived we were provided with lots of useful information and had all our queries answered! We didn't have a car for our holiday but Marilyn (the lovely lady who looks after the property and was able to provide us with airport transfers) gave us the number for a very friendly taxi service that was perfect for getting us wherever we wanted to go (the harbour etc) at a good price. There are also a few little shops, a bakery and a taverna (that gives extremely generous portions) a short walk away which we made good use of! There is so much to do in Paphos and we have already been recommending the villa to friends and family and we would definitely go back again!
“Very good location with everything near by!! Great for golf!”
We went to open views villa on a recommendation, and what a recommendation it was! We went to Cyprus to play golf on the fantastic courses Cyprus has to offer, and the villa was ideally placed for the four course we played! The furthest we had to travel was 20 minutes to Aphrodite hills. The villa itself is in fantastic condition and ideally placed for all needs not just the golf! With it being about 5km to Paphos town, it is close enough to the town, but far enough away to not have to worry about the summertime nightlife!! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone and is perfect for all the family, the pool was cleaned twice in the week we was there and has great facilities to feel at home as well!
“A fantastic villa stay”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gavins villa and the service we got from Gavin was second to none. Keys arrived beforehand with detailed maps and instructions which were absolutely brilliant - two females travelling for the first time on their own we needed all the help we could get. The instructions put us at ease from day one. The villa was gorgeous and provided us with everything we needed for a great stay. (apart from internet connectivity which was actually a real bonus as I got to spend the entire week with my daughter and conversation. No trouble if we needed the internet MacDonalds and all the restaurants nearby provided us with all the internet we needed. Gavin remained a star -on the last night we wanted a take away and emailed Gavin and he supplied us with all the info we required. He was a star
“Everything I could need for a truly relaxing stay”
The first thing I noticed was how helpful and efficient Gavin, the owner of the property, was. Communication was excellent so I felt confident about my choice of holiday home, however, my expectations were surpassed. Open Views Villa was beautifully clean and had everything in it that you could possibly need. Because I arrived on a very late flight, the property manager in Cyprus, Maz, very kindly provided me with a welcome pack of snacks, fruit, drinks etc (this has to be requested in advance) but was a lovely extra touch so I didn't have to worry about shopping for a couple of days. The house itself has three bedrooms. One double with en-suite which opens out onto a balcony (which looks over Paphos and down to the sea - beautiful views at sunset!), one twin which also opens out onto the balcony and one twin front bedroom. Plenty of linen was also provided so there was nothing much to think about except lazing about, enjoying the pool. The pool and garden are well maintained with plenty of chairs and loungers etc. The villa is situated in a residential cul-de-sac. All the properties are detached so there is lots of space and although there are houses either side, it feels pretty secluded. You would need a car to stay at this property as the nearest kiosk and bakery are a bit of a hike away. With a car, however, they are 5 minutes away and then just another 5 minutes away is Paphos Mall Supermarket where you can pick up everything you need. Paphos Town is about 10/15 minutes away and there you will find hundreds of shops, bars, tavernas and restaurants...some areas more lively for the younger visitors and some areas more for families and couples. If you are looking primarily for a beach holiday, this is not for you. Of course you can take some day trips out to the beach in Paphos or half and hour away is Latchi which is a lovely beach for bathing and swimming. If you are looking for a holiday on your own terms with a pool all to yourself, I would not hesitate to recommend Open Views Villa to anyone...I had a wonderful time. If I can afford it, I have already told Gavin I will be returning next year!
“Excellent value with superb amenities”
We travelled to the villa 4 adults and 1 child in August 2012 for a two week stay. The villa is situated close enough to Paphos for eating out but set in a lovely village that gives you the peace and quiet of a relaxing holiday. We found the pool was excellent for children and adults alike. The villa itself was very clean and spacious and had everything you needed and was like a home from home. We would recommend this villa to friends and family without hesitation and we will be booking again for 2013. We would recommend you try the bakers in the village and the two local tavernas that are within walking distance.
“Superb, Clean, Well-maintained & -equipped”
We booked Open Views for a 3 week stay in June and the booking process was handled efficiently and professionally. Our emails were answered promptly and in a friendly manner. We received directions to the villa in good time and received an information pack with instructions for obtaining keys and alarm codes around a week before departure. The info pack contaned lots of information about the villa and the local area. On arrival at the villa, our first impression was the space available. It is much bigger inside than the photos appear on the website and as there was just the 2 of us staying, we had ample room. We then were struck with the immaculate cleanliness throughout the villa and the superb facilities available. The kitchen was good sized, with quality appliances, including a water cooler - refills are just 3euro from the local supermarket. The dining area had a large table with seating for 6. The lounge area had 2 sofas, a relaxing chair and a large flat-screen TV with a good selection of DVDs. Perhaps the only disappointing feature was only a few English speaking TV channels, but who goes on holiday to watch TV anyway? A selection of boardgames was also available. There was a downstairs WC, along with a family shower / WC upstairs and a shower / WC en suite to the master bedroom. Again, upstairs was immaculately presented. Outside was the pool, accompanied by 6 loungers, and a table and chairs. All were of good quality and the garden made the outside area secluded and contained. The villa is away from the tourist area in the quiet village of Konia on the outskirts of Paphos. It is located in a quiet street and the neighbours (mostly Brits) were friendly and always said 'hello' when we bumped into them. Konia has a couple of tavernas which serve good food, which was much more reasonably priced than at the Harbour, and a couple of well-stocked mini-markets. Taxis into the town were around 12euro - make sure you get the driver to turn the meter on though - taking around 10/12 mins depending on where you went. Two large supermarkets are located about 5 minutes away, on the road to the harbour, stocking everything you would ever need. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa and were very well looked after by the villa's owner.
“2 weeks of bliss”
Arrived Sunday 6 May.Easy car journey from Pafos airport, easily found Villa, had checked location on Bing maps before trip. Konia is a somewhat sprawling village, has several kiosks and shops including a bakery and a couple of taverns and a vet. Gavin's Villa is a real home, is very well equipped, and is very comfortable, had no issues whatsoever, would readily stay there again. We found the whole place absolutly spotless when we arrived. We met Marylin who looks after the Villa, a lovely English lady, we didn't meet the guy who looks after the pool, we were probably still in bed, but the pool was kept in immaculate condition throughout our stay. We wanted a totally relaxing quite get away holiday and we really achieved that. The villa is only a short drive to large supermarkets, and only about 3 or 4 miles to Pafos itself, and easy reach to the Polis/Latsi road. A car is really essential, as is any holiday in Cyprus, I've found.
