Welcome to River Side VillaA home away from home for a pleasant and peaceful stay for those who wish to visit Cochin,Fort Cochin,Munnar,Kottayam/Kumarakom,Athirappilly&vazhachal(water falls) and Alappuzha (Back Water Alleppey). The home concept is offered at a very attractive rate to domestic and international tourists in a clean, eco friendly and tranquil environment. We offer mosquito free rooms and traditional Kerala food prepared with farm fresh vegetables and fruits.Our Villa, situated on the bank of river in Ernakulam is just 12 kilometers from cochin International Air port, 25 kilometers from Cochin City, 35 Kilometers from Fort Kochin,Mattanchery,120 kilometres from Hill Station Munnar. 35 kilometers from water falls,20kilometers from Beach,20 kilometers from musiris. The village is an unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy (rice) fields, Nut Meg Trees and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting water ways and canals adorned with spices and medicinal plants. It is an ideal place to explore Kerala's traditions, real village life and to stay for a period in a calm and quiet pollution free zone. The village is decorated with ancient Christian churches, Hindu temples, country and snake boats. Arrange by Customer request.Our hospitality begins right from when the guest arrives in Kerala. Be it by bus, train or Flight we personally meet our guests and escort them to our hide away retreat. Once here at our home we ensure the new found guests feel right at home.Which local attractions and specialties should I try when staying at your property?Our Villa is located near the River Ernakulam(Chalakuddy River), wherein one can relax during the mornings and evenings doing swimming, fishing and boating (hired). It is on 4 Temple Tour Circuit, of which the nearest temple (1 Km ) is dedicated to the Lord Lakshmana. The balance temples are dedicated to the Vishnuavatar Rama and his brothers, all of which are meant to be worshiped on the same day. The arrangements of the same are provided by us. Also we have St. Mary' s Forane Church, (1 Km)built in AD 650 and its architecture has roman-Syrian Influences. Similarly within 10-15 kms, ancient churches within varying styles of architecture from RC-Syrian and Latin-Catholic influences. Also on the itinerary is a customized village tour, describing its history, its people, and professions including cultural interactions. We also organize various massage therapies with our local partners, cycling tours, and local cuisine tours.What is unique about this property, what makes it special?The exterior architecture is Kerala Modern Style built in 2012. It combines the facilities of a modern world, while remaining a home in a traditional sense. It is a 2 storied structure, with an extensive front and backyard. We have a kitchen and flower garden. In our backyard, we cultivate nutmeg, papaya, banana, coconut, tapioca. The interiors are completely in modern style with some traditional touches. Our honored guests have a choice of 2 rooms on the first floor, with additional rooms available if needed on the ground floor. The bedrooms are equipped with double beds, inbuilt wooden cupboards , attached bath western style with common balcony, free Wi-Fi, common fridges on each floor, hot water, power backup, free Kerala style breakfast.What made you choose this property?This is part of our family's ancestral land since 1840 AD, for the past 4 generations. Commanding a riverfront view, it is calm, quiet, pollution free locale, that eases away the stresses & strains of modern life and its vicissitudes. It has been my experience that after spending some time here, one generally finds a sense of renewal in oneself and life.Home RulesRirver Side Villa is placed in Ernakulam District which is in Central Kerala, accessibility to all places throughout Kerala is of almost equal distance. Our home stays is very near to the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery, just 12 kms from Away. The route is via Aluva Mala - Road. For those traveling by train can get down at Aluva Railway Station, Angamaly Railway station or Ernakulam Junction Railway Station or Ernakulam Town Railway Station, at Kochi/Cochin. Buses ply regularly from near our Kerala home. We provide pick-up and drop at airport or railway station on request. Also Any Types of Transportation will be provide up on request.
