Since opening in May 2009, Shire Cottage, which is equipped to an exceptionally high standard, has enjoyed very high occupancy rates whilst gaining rave reviews from guests who have consistently quality rated it at 9.5/10 or above.  An ideal location for the Yorkshire Showground, the Pavilions and Harrogate International Centre with buses running every 7 minutes.

Shire is the larger and more family-orientated of the two "cottages" now housed within the South-facing, 16th century Grade 2 Listed Stable Block.

The entrance leads to a lounge with travertine flooring, sofa bed settee and feature living fire (Please note there is a charge for use of the sofa bed).  Off left is a large, bright, free-standing kitchen-cum-dining room with seating for 6-8 guests.  Stairs from lounge up to two airy beamed bedrooms.  Bedroom 1 has a large feature window (formerly the Stable hay loft door) and super king-size zip and link beds with orthopaedic

Use of the Super Spa attracts an additional fee of £90 which must be requested at the time of booking. Please note that a £100 returnable bond is payable to the Owner for single-gender bookings.

Generous Welcome tray of essentials on arrival - all you have to do is advise your preferred colour of wine!  Utility room with washer/dryer, ironing board and iron.  Pet friendly.  Outside: secure parking and lighting, garden furniture and gas barbecue, pet friendly yard, recycling centre and two guest bikes.  Undercover heated patio area available for smokers.  Train station, pubs, restaurants, shops, bus stops all within 5 minutes walk. Please note The Royal Oak has been converted into a family home, not a trading pub.
