This is a luxurious first floor, family run apartment, backing onto a stream, footpaths and cross-country skiing routes. The Gotchna-Parsenn cable car is a seven-minute walk or a 3 minute bus ride from the house, as is the Klosters train station.
The bus stop is located right outside the apartment. A swimming pool, ice rink and many restaurants and bars are all within easy reach and there is ample outside play and sledging space for children. The lounge has a large log fire for cosy evenings in. There is cable TV, video, DVD player, Hifi ipod speakers available as well as broadband internet access.
There are breath taking views of surrounding mountains from all bedrooms, kitchen and lounge. The Graubunden region
Graubünden is an area of natural beauty. You are set within the Alps. The buildings are all traditionally built and protected. The natural charm and warm hospitality make this a wonderful place to stay all year round. Place of interest include Davos with its great museum, lively night life and fantastic walks around a stunning lake and down the local mountains. A great place to feed squirrels and birds.
There is also a fantastic Spa called Eau LaLa which is very reasonably priced and where there are jets, sauna's Jacuzzi, steam rooms, swimming pools, slide for children and plunge pools all overlooking the fantastic scenery. One of my favourite place to go and relax.
Whether you prefer pampering, hiking, paragliding, mountain-biking or simply a relaxing family holiday – a stay in the Klosters mountains will enchant everyone who longs to rest for their souls in a beautiful, dreamlike surrounding.
Klosters is a small Swiss village with a population of just 3000 and lies 1200 meters above sea level. A world famous ski and summer resort, it can be reached from Zurich within 2 hours by car or 2 ½ hours by train. Klosters has remained a traditional farming village with classical wooden architecture and "chocolate box" chalets.
In summer the cable cars operate to provide access to mountain walks, rambles and biking through grassy meadows to stunning peaks. Traditional cowbells can be heard across the meadows. The hiking area of the Davos-Klosters holiday region and the Prättigau, with more than 700 km (437.5 miles) of hiking trails, invites you to relax in magnificent mountain freshness and enjoy nature's marvellous spectacle anew every day. Klosters is particularly attractive for bikers; there are over 230 km (93.75 miles) of separate routes of varying degrees of difficulty in the countryside of Klosters-Davos and Prättigau. And if that is not enough, there are other challenges in the Prättigau and Davos area. The Swiss Bike Masters over 120 km (75 miles) is one of the toughest bike races in the world.
If action is not what you are looking for then check out the various hotels pampering holiday guests in their wellness centres. The resort offers a new heated family open-air swimming pool with a view over the magnificent scenery of the Silvretta massif, 12 clay tennis courts, the new 9 Hole Golf course from Klosters uniquely nestled in the magnificent alpine landscape, six 18-hole golf courses within a radius of a 60-minute car drive, a multi-sport sports centre for various types of ball sports and athletics round off the summer attractions.
Alternative family activities include the nature reserves which provide protection for chamois and ibex whilst the huge pine forests have protected the red squirrel from the more common grey squirrel that has taken over so much of Europe. Mountain bikes can be hired. There are zoos for the children and wine-tasting in the highest vineyards in Europe for mums and dads. The lake at Davos provide some of the highest sailing in Europe. Tennis, pony trekking, swimming (both outdoors and in) and a trip on the world famous Heidiland and Glacier Express Railways are all on offer.
What makes Klosters and its surrounding area so special is that it is a conservation area. The villages of the whole region are full of traditional buildings with great charm.
