Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Full of historic interest from standing stones to castles such as Scone Palace where the scottish kings were crowned and the lovely Blair Castle, amongst many others. There are plenty of outdoor sports to try such as white water raftting, golfing and horse riding. Plenty of walks all around and there are whiskey distilleries too. Edradour is the smallest distillery in Scotland and it only 20 minutes away by car. Hunting and fishing can be pursued locally and there is loads of good walking. In the winter skiing is popular with the Glenshee resort 20 minutes away, good for sledging too.

Kirkmichael

The cottage is on the Cateran Trail, an old droving route. You can now walk along this well signposted path up to Glenshee mountailns or along the river Ericht. Trout and salmon fishing is available nearby. Everywhere wildlife abounds, from the bee hives in our garden, red squirrels and an abundance of deer.

“Perfection”

The setting of Camnacar is delightful. You're right in the charming village of Kirkmichael, with the village store just over the road. Above you stretch mountains purple with heather and below you flows the River Ardle. There's lovely walks from the doorstep or you can venture by car to Blairgowrie or Glen Shee. The cottage is on the property of the hospitable Goodman family who supply a delicious welcome meal. The rooms are spotless, the beds are comfy and the kitchen well stocked with crockery and utensils. We can't recommend a stay here highly enough.
