Description

This is a versatile, well presented 2 bedroom upper apartment, which has retained many original features, combined with a modern twist to suit today's living. The property comprises of an entrance vestibule and a welcoming reception hallway which gives access to all rooms. The lounge is full of character and charm, an abundance of light fills the room from the two large picture windows. Also in the Lounge there is a 50 inch smart TV, with a Virgin Tivo cable TV Box, a DVD and CD player with surround sound speakers. The wood panelling and coal effect gas fire in the feature fireplace add to the cosiness and appeal. The apartment has GCH with heaters in all rooms.

Off the lounge there is a separate room, which can be accessed from the lounge via sliding wood panelled doors. This room houses a full sized pool table complete with all accessories.

There are 2 double bedrooms both of which contain fitted mirrored wardrobes. The second double bedroom contains a zip and link bed which can either be a King size bed or separated into two single beds depending on your requirements. In addition there is a transportable single foldaway bed, complete with a headboard, mattress and mattress topper which can be accommodated in the master bedroom, (to accommodate 3) or the pool room can also accommodate it, if a third bedroom is required, or of course the lounge, if preferred. There is also a travel cot, if required.

The dining kitchen has everything you need for a self catering holiday, including a dishwasher, microwave, George Foreman type grill, a toaster etc, and a table and chairs, a high chair is also provided.

However with an abundance of restaurants on the door step, you may choose to eat out, therefore relaxing in the knowledge that you can have a drink, if desired, and walk home and no taxi or car is required.

There is a large family bathroom, complete with a bathroom cabinet, wash hand basin and a shower with a screen over the bath.

There is also a utility room which houses a washing machine and an iron and ironing board.

The apartment is ideally situated for exploring all of Fifes attractions, or Edinburgh etc, being a short walk from the bus and train stations.

In addition, around the corner, there is a new leisure centre with swimming pools , gymnasium, sauna and steam room and kids play area.

The Scotland region

Kirkcaldy is one of Fife's principal towns. One of the great attractions of Kirkcaldy is its excellent accessibility. There is a railway and bus station nearby with good arterial connections to Edinburgh (25 miles), Glasgow (46 miles), Dundee (29 miles), Perth, (35 miles). For those who enjoy the outdoors, nearby, there is Ravenscraig Park, by the sea, with adjacent castle and walks to the picturesque harbour of Dysart, where there is a harbourmasters house and cafe, with information and displays about The Fife Coastal Path. Beveridge Park which has a boating lake, skateboard area and many woodland walkways. There are also a range of leisure facilities, in the town, including a swimming pool, an ice rink and two golf courses.

Kirkcaldy

In the immediate vicinity of the apartment, there is a wealth of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes on the High Street. The vast majority of the High St. is pedestrianised, making for a more enjoyable shopping experience. In addition to this, with access from the High Street, there is also an indoor shopping centre, which includes T.K. Maxx, BHS, Boots, etc. The apartment runs parallel to the promenade, which is great for a refreshing stroll and where there is a new leisure centre with a 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool. The 70 station gym has exceptional sea front views and is the perfect place to get active and improve your fitness levels. Also nearby is the Adam Smith Theatre, which is a Victorian theatre, specialising in drama, dance, children's shows, music and cinema screenings, with a cafe bar. A short walk away from the apt are the Kirkcaldy Galleries, situated in beautiful gardens. This is the main museum, library and exhibition space in Fife. It is also the home of the Tourist Information Centre and houses a beautiful cafe. A few doors from the apt is a newly opened cafe/gift shop called the Painted Teapot, where children can paint ceramics in lovely surroundings.

“Family Break”

Excellently positioned apartment for exploring Fife. Irene and Mark were fantastic from first contact untill after arrival. The apartment has everything a family would require and the pool table was especially appreciated by my two boys (and their dad)
