Perfectly located for exploring both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks, Bronte School House is a beautiful period holiday cottage simply steeped in history: it was the old Clergy Daughters' School attended by Charlotte and Emily Brontë 1824-25. The property has been sensitively restored preserving the historical character whilst also including modern-day comforts: step inside and you will find snowy-white limewashed walls, original floorboards and beams, exposed stonework and cushioned window seats. The property is well equipped with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Enjoy relaxing by the log-burner in the cosy sitting room or taking a long soak in the big roll-top bath after a day's hiking before sinking into the crisp white cotton bedlinen.
On sunny days you can take advantage of the lovely large garden: dine al fresco under the shade of a tree then enjoy relaxing to the sound of the water of Leck Beck with a post lunch coffee, or maybe a glass of something, whilst the kids run around in the garden making their own fun and games!
