Burrendale House is a beautiful ,well decorated , 4star , Failte Ireland approved holiday home with free WiFi / internet access , in a very ,quiet ,relaxed location ,just off the main street/pier area in the picturesque ,harbour village of Kinvara, with no through traffic or noise to disturb a good nights sleep after wonderful days ,enjoying the beautiful scenery that this area has to offer with plenty of sea air ,lovely country,beach and mountain walks ,cycling.
Visit the many attractions ,play a game of golf or tennis , have fun with the children in the new astro turf playground ,sit on the quay, watch the boats come and go, or have a nice meal in one of the cafe/pub/restaurants sprinkled around the village with some traditional music to finish off a perfect day .

From the back of the house ,you can see the horses grazing in the fields ,hear the birds sing and from the front ,you see the lovely ,limestone ,landscape of the Burren mountains ,Galway bay and harbour

Booking - 50% deposit with booking ,balance due 6 weeks before arrival.

Security dep. - A refundable security deposit of 100 euros is payable with bal ,6 weeks before arrival.

linen - All bed linen and towels are provided and beds are made up .

Electricity, gas and heating oil are charged at cost .

Changeover day is flexible ,short stays welcome .

Car not necessary as house is located in village ,but would be helpful for getting around to see all the sites .

We provide books,dvd"s,welcome folder with loads of info. on local attractions ,maps ,etc. and we can organise tickets for banquet at Dunguaire Castle nearby or a boat trip to the wonderful Aran Islands .

The house has a lovely sitting room with wooden floor, leather couches and gas fire .
The dining room/sunroom is spacious with wooden floor and French doors leading out to patio/back garden.
All four bedrooms are well furnished with wooden floors , matching beds,lockers, wardrobes ,dressingtables , mirrors,stools, hair-dryer and lamps .Power showers in two bathrooms ,one of which also has large bath.Kitchen has double ovens,grill and top plate ,large fridge /freezer,dishwasher, microwave,coffee maker ,toaster ,kettle ,well stocked with pots/pans ,crockery,cutlery,etc. and lots of storage space .
Washing machine, dryer, iron and ironboard in utility room off kitchen,downstairs toilet and hand basin off hall.

The Western Ireland region

Kinvara is a very , picturesque ,harbour village located in south Galway /north Clare area ,on N67 ,which is the main scenic, coastal route to the famous limestone landscape of the Burren region ,Ailwee Caves , Cliffs of Moher ,Caherconnell stone fort and Poulnabrone dolmen .
Galway city is only 25mins drive ,it is a very vibrant ,bustling , medieval city and it hosts many dramatic festivals throughout the year .
Galway is also the gateway to the Connemara area which is renowned for its natural beauty and you can take a boat trip to the Aran Islands ,which takes you back in time to a way of life which is unique to the islands .
Coole Park ,near Gort has lovely woodland walks and picnic area and Gort golf course is only a few mins. drive

Kinvara

Kinvara is a beautiful ,harbour village ,overlooked by Dunguaire Castle with its medieval banquets ,which are held twice nightly from April to Oct. and Tracht beach is just a few mins. drive ,a great place for a walk or a swim.,or you can meander into the Burren area and enjoy the breathtaking views of Galway bay ,the limestone rock formations and the many alpine and Mediterranean plants that grow there.
People are amazed with the contrasts of this region .
You can sit and relax on the quay area and watch the boats come and go .
Kinvara is also renowned for its traditional music festival held on the May bank holiday weekend each year called Fleach na Gouach and its boat racing festival in mid Aug. ,called Crunnia na Mbad .
There is a farmers market in the village every Fri. morning from April to Oct. with traditional music to enjoy.
Kinvara has a great choice of restaurants ,fresh seafood being a speciality,plenty of pubs with music most nights ,a few craft shops to browse in ,a pharmacy ,post office ,beauticians,hairdressers,bike to hire shop,internet cafe,boutique, 2 supermarkets with fresh meat,deli,fresh baked breads, etc.

Nous sommes restés une semaine à Kinvara avec nos 3 enfants. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. La maison fournissait tout le confort nécessaire à la bonne réussite de nos vacances (chambres agréables, cuisine bien équipée)
