Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Situated on the western seaboard of Kintyre, close to the famous Mull of Kintyre. Machrihanish is famous for its spectacular sunsets with views towards the islands of Islay, Jura and Gigha. Day trips can be taken to the nearby islands of Gigha and Arran via the local ferry service. Open to the public on Gigha (God's Island) are the well know Achamore Gardens which support a large number of tropical plants, testimony to the gentle climate of the area due to the influence of the Gulf Stream. For walkers the Kintyre walking trail passes the house.
