Location description from owner

The Province of Munster region

Kinsale is a really great place for a holiday. It is known as the gourmet capital of Ireland. There are so many restaurants, pubs and shops. Live music in the pubs every night. Lovely harbour, beautiful scenery, great walks and many fun things to do. There's something for everyone. The house is on the doorstep of all this.

Kinsale

Rivermeadows is in a nice residential area but just 5 minutes walk from the restaurants, pubs, shops and harbour area. The beach is approximately 2 km away as the beach is on the other side of Kinsale, away from the main centre.

“Great house and garden, great location.”

Reviewed 25 Jan 2017

The house is good sized and well kitted out; the garden is large and secluded for kids to play. We stayed there, with our children aged 6 and 4, in 2015 and 2016. It is a 7 minute walk to the centre of Kinsale and the town has a surprising number of high quality restaurants for its size. Lots to do in the area - besides eat - scuba, snorkelling, paddle boarding, canoeing, boat trips, cycling, horse riding, beaches, sights - the ghost tour from the Tap Tavern is just great craic, and of course music and bars. You can even take a trip to the mountains in Kerry although I wouldn't say that out loud in Kinsale, again. PS. kitchen and bathroom have been modernised since the pics were taken.

Owner's reply: Hugh and Naoimh, I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay and I must say that we ate lucky that the house is close to so many attractions. Kinsale is a brilliant little town. It's nice to know that it's widely appreciated.
