The lounge/dining area is open plan with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. From the dining table there are views over the historic Steam Railway, the bustling Marina and the beautiful River Dart with Dartmouth in the distance. There is a comfortable sofa with foot rests, an old cast iron range with a warm flame effect fire, colourful rugs, throws and cushions and a new 32 " flat screen TV. There are also copious books and hooks, a wardrobe and cupboard for clothes and walking boots and some nautical themed decorations. Free WIFI is available.

The kitchen is fully fitted and includes electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, sink and drainer, portable wooden island providing additional work surface and ample cupboard and shelf space. There are also outstanding views over the river from the kitchen window.

A truly romantic treat. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor level above and is accessed via a spiral staircase which leads up through exposed wooden roof joists. A large dormer window floods light into this area of the apartment. There is ample seating with shelves for drinks, books and the obligatory binoculars to study the ever changing scenes below. With a large built in double bed, sail loft doors, portholes, curtains, captains chest of drawers and views of the river from your bed it is easy to imagine that you are at sea and have just climbed into your bunk space! Especially delightful on cold stormy nights!

Off the lounge is a bright, warm and tastefully fitted new shower room including a white sink and WC, heated towel rail, extraction fan and a large wall cupboard plus lots of hooks.

Outside there are hanging baskets, two chairs and a table to the front of the apartment at floor level for those sunny morning coffee or evening Pims moments! Please note there is an old fashioned electric pay meter above the front door which takes £1 coins.

There is free/restricted parking available in and around the village, and there is usually parking on the Darthaven Marina car park using a parking permit supplied but this sometimes depends on availability.

Location description from owner

The England region

Devon is a popular holiday destination in South west England. The scenery and climate have made the area a favoured destination for a few hundred years. Over that time much has changed, yet much of the character and many of the local traditions have remained. The coast and countryside are still extraordinarily beautiful, which is why more than two thirds of South Devon is carefully protected as a national asset, either in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or as part of the Dartmoor National Park.

Kingswear

Dartmouth is characterised by its narrow lanes, stairways and corridors and plenty of medieval and Elizabethan features. It is a beautiful town steeped in history with many of the buildings dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. The oldest building in Dartmouth is the Cherub Public House which dates back as far as 1380! The Britannia Royal Naval College famous for training the Royal Navy's Officers sits majestically overlooking the town and down the River Dart towards Kingswear and the Dartmouth Castle and out to sea. The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway is on the Kingwear side of the river and trains run regularly offering a traditional and unique blast from the past.
