SPACIOUS APARTMENT OVERLOOKING STUNNING PRIVATE GARDENS AND TEA ROOM

This little gem is situated in a special private garden covering some 20 acres with 3 lakes. Created in the 1950’s the vision and inspiration of the late Dr Jimmy Smart VMH it provides a haven in which to relax and enjoy plants, shrubs, trees, views and woodland areas.

The gardens are famous for the largest collection of Camellias in the country. Guests staying at the apartment can enjoy spectacular views of the garden and lakes from their living room, or if you prefer, sit in the award winning tea room which offers light refreshments throughout the day. If you can bear to tear yourself away from this tranquil idyll then there is much to see and do nearby the coastal villages and towns of Braunton, Croyde, Woolacombe, Lynmouth, Lynton, Ilfracombe are all within a 30 minute drive. The National Trust property Arlington Court is just 3 miles and Knighthayes Court is a 45 minute drive.

The accommodation is set on one level and offers ONE zip-and-link double (which can be made into a twin on request)with IPod dock. Bathroom: with bath, electric shower over and WC. Lounge/diner: with fabulous views, woodburner (first basket of logs included), TV/DVD. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave. Outside: free use of the shared gardens open to the public. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, tumble dryer, electric, heating and wi-fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 well-behaved dog welcome. Additional info: Visitors can order food from the onsite gardens/tea room (menus available in the apartment). Gardens/tea room and plant shop are open to the public March - end September. Welcome pack includes a selection of teas, milk bread and butter. Location: beach (Braunton Burrows) 8.5 miles, shops, pubs and restaurants in Barnstaple 5 miles.
