Fantastic sea views. 'Sea Spray' is a luxury apartment (3rd floor out of 4 floors) situated in Fort Picklecombe, 2 miles from Torpoint, South Cornwall. The apartment is only yards from the waterfront with fantastic sea views over Plymouth Sound and Cawsand Bay, a stunning setting. Plymouth is visible in the distance and there is an interesting array of ships and sailing boats visible over the Sound. Fort Picklecombe was originally a 19th century Fort and in recent years has been converted into prestige residential apartments. The Fort is in a quiet rural setting on an interesting and rugged stretch of coastline, ideal for walkers. There is a small sandy beach (not during winter) a few minutes stroll away. Good sandy beach at Cawsand and Kingsand (adjoining pretty villages with pubs, cafes and shops) is under 2 miles by road and coastal footpath. The Cornwall region

Fort Picklecombe is situated right on the seashore. Fantastic sea views and spectacular coastal walks. Just over 1 mile to Mount Edgecumbe National Trust house and gardens (an 800 wooded estate, the grounds all beingt open to the public-but have to pay to enter the house). This area was mentioned in a Shell Guide as the most scenic area in the country, with the 11th century monk's chapel and other attractions. Two miles further down the coast are the adjoining seaside Cawsand and Kingsand old villages, with pubs, cafes and reastuarants and other eating places. Cawsands has a sandy beach and there is a regular Ferry service during the summer, from Cawsand beach and landing on the other side of the bay on the Barbican at Plymouth. Modest charge, as the Ferry provides a regular service for locals. The Ferry times are scheduled so passengers can enjoy a whole day in Plymouth. The Barbican is the famous old waterfront area of Plymouth with old pubs, cafes, waterside restaurants and a multitude of picturesque pleasure boats- visit the Elizabethan house and other historic attractions, or pop into the Aquarium (the largest in Europe). Walk over the new walkbridge to Warner Village with cinema complex and Ten Pin Bowling. There is a hard to spot but large Tourist Board Centre near the Mayflower Steps (where the Pilgrims left for America). Walk the short distance from the Barbican to Plymouth City Centre shops and visit the new Drake Shopping Centre. From Fort Picklecombe walk or drive along the coast for under 2 miles in a northward direction to the Cremyll pedestrian ferry which will take you to Plymouth the other side of the estuary. From where you land it will be a short walk to the city centre shops. Try the cruise ship trip which will take you all the way up the Tamar River to Calstock (a Victorian village which you can visit & stop for a break), a round trip of about 18 miles. Four miles further down the coast in a southward direction are the large classic sandy beaches at Whitsand Bay. Further again along the coast are Looe and Polperro.
