Just 2 minutes' walk from Stirling city center yet located on a quiet residential street in the Kings Park area, Pear Tree House offers luxury accommodation for 4 people over the first and second floors of a Victorian sandstone villa.

Converted in the 1930's, Pear Tree House has a lovely Arts and Crafts feel. From the private side entrance, an ornate wooden staircase leads you up past stained glass windows into the flat. On the lower floor there is a double bedroom, bay windowed lounge with dining, large bathroom with bath and shower over, breakfasting kitchen and shower room. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric ovens, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine/tumble drier.

On the upper level, bedroom 2 has zip and link beds so can either be a twin room or have a super-king size bed.

Outside there is off street parking on the drive and an enclosed garden with outdoor furniture so you may relax after a day of sightseeing.

Stirling is within easy reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh so you are perfectly situated to take advantage of all Scotland has to offer from this central location.

Stirling does not stand alone as other areas of historic interest are on the doorstep. Just a five minute's drive away to the charming village and local pubs of Cambusbarron and five minutes in the opposite direction to Cambuskenneth and its famous Abbey. The Wallace Monument is a 2 minute drive; on the way, stop off and visit the Old Stirling Bridge and its battle site or the site of the famous Battle of Bannockburn and its newly opened visitors centre. The Victorian Spa town of Bridge of Allan is 5 minutes away and a further 5 minutes to Dunblane and its historic Cathedral.

The surrounding countryside is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts: walking, cycling and paragliding are all on offer on the nearby Ochil Hills. Slightly further away are The Trossachs, Callander, Loch Lomond National Park, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Pear Tree House is the ideal central base for your holiday.

Kings Park, Stirling

Pear Tree House is at the very heart of Stirling City centre. Only a two minute walk to all the attractions within the historic City. Walk up to the magnificent Castle at the 'Tap of the Toon' and find the Old Town Jail and the Tolbooth arts centre on the way. Stirling boasts a modern shopping centre, small quaint arcades and several supermarkets all only a short walk away. Walk through the spectacular Victorian architecture of the city's King's Park area, past the Smith Art Gallery and Museum on route to the vast King's Park itself with golf course, landscaped gardens, tennis courts and wonderful childrens' play park and skate park for older kids.

The newly refurbished and opened Bannockburn Heritage Centre is only a 20-minute walk from the city centre and there is also a good selection of both modern and traditional pubs and restaurants in the area. Nick Nairn's famous cookery school is also a mere 20 minute drive away in nearby Port of Menteith.

Golf is available at every turn. As well as Kings Park's own course there are at least another five within Falkirk district, a 15 min drive away. Slightly further afield and easy to reach are the world famous Gleneagles and St Andrew's Old Course.

Local transport offers excellent links to all areas; Edinburgh and Glasgow and their airports are within one hour's drive. Stirling also has a good bus/rail network, both bus and rail stations are a 5 min walk from Pear Tree House, and motorways heading both North, further through Scotland, and South towards England and Wales.
