“A charming and comfortable cottage in an attractive location.”

Reviewed 11 Nov 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cook's Cottage. It is a warm and welcoming cottage and extremely well equipped with plenty of clear information and instructions. The attractive and peaceful location was much appreciated and we enjoyed exploring the local area.

“Charming cottage in equally charming location”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2015

Loved the cottage, which was exceptionally well-equipped. Everything worked, but would have liked to have a clothes dryer (or at least somewhere to hang washed clothes.) Loved touring the Cotswolds.

Owner's reply: Thanks for this review! There are clothes dryers in the cupboard under the stairs if anyone needs them and also a heated towel rail

“A great little cottage”

Reviewed 14 May 2015

We stayed at cooks cottage for a weekend and we absolutely loved it. The location was great, very quiet and relaxing. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There is a shop and pub which is a few minutes walk up the road. The cottage was lovely and clean and the beds were really comfortable. We would recommend this cottage and hope to stay again soon.

“A charming cottage in a lovely village”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2014

We stayed at this attractive, comfortable, cosy and very well equipped cottage in the centre of Kingham in September. The information leaflet supplied by Sue, the owner, was very comprehensive with good directions to the cottage and it provided a wealth of information about the village and the area. Booking the accommodation was straight forward and easily arranged. Parking was on the street, and there were ample spaces available close to the cottage. The village has two pubs, and a well stocked village store/Sub Post Office. Kingham is a lovely, friendly village and is well positioned in the heart of the Cotswolds with plenty of places of interest to visit within 1 hours drive. We really enjoyed our stay there and are very happy to recommend it.

“Lovely cottage in a cute village”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2014

My friends and I loved staying in this cosy Cotswolds cottage. It was warm (with a radiant open fire), convenient, clean and relaxing. The weather was wet while we visited, but we enjoyed walking down to the Daylesford Organic Farm cafe and also had an amazing lunch at the Kingham Plough. We would stay here again if visiting the Cotswolds. Thanks to Sue.

“Picturesque cottage in the Cotswolds”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2013

Cook's cottage is set in a very idyllic location in the village of Kingham in the middle of the Cotswolds with very easy access to all the major tourist attractions. The cottage is fully equipped and has a very special charm and character – exactly how you would expect a proper Cotswold cottage to be. The owner was extremely helpful in providing information and good ideas for our stay – should anything not have been provided beforehand, we found lots of literature and books in the cottage itself, including some very good pubs in the surrounding area. Also, access to wireless internet was a great bonus for us, as we travelled with teenagers.

“BEAUTIFUL COSY COTTAGE IN A LOVELY VILLAGE, SUROUNDED BY WONDERFUL COUNTRYSIDE. LOOK NO FURTHER.”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2013

We had a wonderful stay at cosy cooks cottage, it was the coldest week of the year, (many years in fact!) complete with snow, but this made the warmth of the glorious log burner even more special to come home to after a lovely country walk. The cottage is set in a quiet corner of a beautiful sleepy village but with everything you could want within easy reach, a great little village shop only a few minutes away, a lovely country pub and only a short drive to Stow or Chipping Norton. Cooks cottage is very comfortable and very well equipped (it really is a cook's cottage!) this helps make it a real home from home retreat. We only ate out once at the Thai shire in Chipping Norton (fabulous food!) Most evenings we enjoyed cooking fresh local produce from Daylesford organic farm shop which is only a five minute drive or even better a 20 minute walk away (again excellent!) Sue the owner of the Cottage does absolutely everything she can to make sure your stay is as great as possible, The icing on the cake! Whether you want somewhere to lock yourself away for a week or somewhere to use as a base to explore the glorious surroundings you won't find better than Cooks Cottage. We are from Brockworth which is only a 50 minute drive away but it felt like we were a million miles from home. *one point to note is that the cottage does have a short but quite steep staircase so be careful if you're not steady on your feet or you're if like me and enjoy a few glasses or red with dinner!

“Cosy Cotswolds cottage in great location”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2013

Perfect little cottage in lovely Cotswold village location. Ideal for friends, couples or a small family. Located in a quiet road in village of Kingham. 5 mins walk to 2 lovely pubs and very well stocked village shop. Cottage is compact, but very homely and has all mod cons. Would highly recommend.

“English Village Perfection”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2012

Cook's Cottage was charming and very comfortable. Everything needed for a short or long stay was provided (except wash cloths!) the village of Kingham was delightful and a great home base for exploring the Cotswolds. I am so pleased with my choice of this cottage and would stay here again anytime. Communications with the winter in advance of the trip were helpful and timely. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

“Lovely cottage in Cotswolds ideal for Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2012

We loved this small cottage situated in an idyllic village within easy reach of Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, and the Cotswolds. There was no off street parking but plenty of on street spaces. The amenities were excellent including free wifi to use (vital for our two teenagers). The cottage was provided with all essentials e.g., bed sheets, towel, dishwasher tablets etc. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit this beautiful part of England.
