“Amazing house”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2019

A Fantastic house with amazing scenery! Everything you need for a short or long break!! An amazing log burner and a huge living room. Very comfortable house and the hot tub is included in your stay, a great place for long walks or just a great get together with family and friends, we had a child free weekend but the house does cater for children too. You get a nice meal at the Loch Insch just about a mile and half from the house, we will definately be back thanks Andrew and Linda and Emma the housekeeper xxx

“Absolutely perfect”

Reviewed 2 Dec 2018

I booked a surprise getaway for my partners birthday - this lodge exceeded expectations! There was 8 of us in total, and there was more than enough space for everyone. The master bedroom is absolutely breathtaking and the lodge has loads of quirky wee finds. The speaker in the living room was perfect and the hot tub was a great added extra. We took a walk through the nature trail located five minutes from the lodge, which we all thoroughly enjoyed! The owners are more than accommodating, kept in touch the whole time and even allowed for an early check-in - couldn’t have asked for better. Overall, the stay was perfect. The only down fall was that we couldn’t stay for longer. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back in the future. We also took a drone up and got some great photos of the fog in the morning from above!!

Owner's reply: Hi Leah, thank you for being great guests. I would love to welcome you to stay again. Linda

“A fab relaxing weekend.”

We visited balnacraig lodge for our 10 year reunion for a chilled, child free weekend. The lodge was beautiful in a picturesque location, surrounded by nature. The facilities were fantastic and are child friendly, very suitable for families, friends, couples etc. There are also lots of activities in the area. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

“Fantastic weekend at Balnacraig”

Reviewed 11 May 2017

The house is easy to find on the way to Aviemore and its location is great, the house is along a forest and has a fantastic view on greeneries and the Insh Lake. We could drive very easily in the Highlands The house in itself is really amazing, great decoration, amenities and equipment - including in the kitchen -, nothing was missing for a weekend in the Highlands. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable. The interiors look even better than on the pictures, we were all very positively surprised !! We really enjoyed the outdoor spa in the cold weather. Thanks for proposing such a quality place!

“What a great plce to have a break , everything you expect you get, form the property to the location, simply stunning”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2014

I would highly recommend Balnacraig Lodge , great location , if you want to enjoy luxurious surroundings and a great location. The views from the hot tub are beautiful , the house has the space to accommodate the largest of families , without living on top of each other and the living room is a great place for everyone to be together and discuss what they did that day, all within 20 minutes of the Cairngorms.
