“Perfect base for exploring central Scotland, Glasgow, the Trossachs, Stirling and Edinburgh.”
Everything about this rental was excellent, from the initial (and subsequent) contact with the owners, Walter and Agnes, the very accurate directions for travel to the property through to the facilities and amenities provided. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, very relaxing and peaceful. The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everything needed for a great stay was present in the property and more besides, with the owners very kindly providing basic provisions like milk, tea, coffee eggs and fruit. The under-floor heating meant that the property was comfortably warm when waking up or returning after a day exploring. The conservatory was great for relaxing with a coffee. The property's location meant it was perfect for exploring the cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling, with all of them less than an hour away. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs are also within easy reach - the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park is a perfect place to see red squirrels. For those with an interest in castles, there are plenty within easy travelling distance; Doune, Blackness and Castle Campbell to name just a few. The Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies are just a short drive away. This property provides a pleasant, clean, comfortable base for people wanting to explore this area of Scotland. Probably one of the nicest rental properties we have stayed in. Highly recommended.
