The Scotland region

Kilmartin Glen is set in the heart of mainland Scotland's premier archaeological area.It is a great place for walkers, cyclists, archaeologists, geologists, botanists and bird watchers. Chambered cairns, Standing Stones, Medieval Celtic Crosses, eagles, beaver trials, brown hares and three species of deer may be found in the area.

Ferries to the islands from Oban and other ports give the traveller an opportunity for watching wildlife on the sea as well as the land and air. Look out from a ferry and you might see a White Tailed Sea Eagle or a Golden Eagle. Bring your binoculars for scanning the ocean and the hills, or bring your sea-kayak and explore Argyll's indented coastline.

“Glorious and tranquil!”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2016

This lovely chalet is located in a beautiful part of Scotland, it's a perfect escape to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! It's perfectly secluded and local attractions include a fascinating museum on local history, and some lovely local walks in the surrounding area. I would highly recommend for a week/long weekend escape!!!

Owner's reply: Thank you for reviewing the Chalet.

“A cosy base for exploring the area”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2013

The perfect place to explore Kilmartin. A good base for walking, cycling and kayaking and lots of archaeology in the area. The property is cosy, with good parking and and a lovely sheltered garden to use at any time. The neighbouring pub (2 mins walk) does excellent food and drink.
