Description

Firbush lodge is a beautifully located self catering Scandinavian Pine lodge boasting truly magnificent mountain and loch views. Situated on the banks of Loch Tay within a small development of privately owned lodges, the lodge is extremely well equipped and furnished to a high standard with lots of lovely personal touches to make you feel welcome and right at home. Loch Tay is a great destination for travellers who want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Scotland in a peaceful and tranquiil setting - whether it's to sit back and relax or participate in a wide range of outdoor pursuits. Loch Tay is 90 minutes away from Edinburgh and Glasgow, around 60 minutes to Perth and Stirling and less than 30 minutes away form a number of lovely villages and places of interest. With stunning scenery, fishing, sailing and other watersports, walking, cycling, ski-ing, lots of interesting places to go and things to do nearby, there's something for everyone.

Loch Tay and Perthshire are places of amazing natural beauty and history alongside adrenaline-packed adventure activities, delicious food and drink, an incredible array of wildlife, and some of the most exciting events and festivals that Scotland has to offer. You’ll find dramatic lochs and waterfalls, peaceful glens, beautiful forests and woodlands and ancient trees mountains and hills like Schiehallion and Ben Lawers as well as castles, historic buildings, museums and historic sites, events and festivals including Highland games, the Atholl Gathering and the Pitlochry Winter Words Festivals. One trip is just not enough!

WE are not on site but are at the end of a phone any time. We have put an info pack of things to do and places to go but are happy to answer any questions and make other suggestions if we can. We stay at the Lodge a lot and know the area really well.

We’ve been here at Firbush Lodge since Monday & are due to leave tomorrow. My husband, myself & our dogs are going to be very sad to leave. The lodge is beautiful, very comfortable & feels like home from home. We’ve had the most relaxing week just going for walks & letting the dogs swim in the Loch which is their favourite thing to do. Janine is a great host & has provided absolutely everything you could want for your stay. We came very unprepared as we thought the bistro would be open but unfortunately it’s closed now until Christmas. Due to the Covid restrictions, the hotels in the area are only serving residents so I would advise you to bring food with you. There’s a really good co- op in Killin if you need to do some shopping. The kitchen in the lodge is very well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. We’re going to book again for next year in the summertime & can’t wait to return. Thanks Janine for sharing your beautiful lodge with us. It’s been an absolute pleasure staying here this week.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Janine (the owner) a message.

If Janine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
