Very Good

“Stunning location”

Reviewed 6 May 2018

Beautiful well equipped Lodge. Janine has created a cozy home from home. With beautiful furnishings and candles, plenty of books and magazines to enjoy whilst watching the ever changing view. Perfect base for a relaxing break. We enjoyed having the gas BBQ for a Tasty dinner eaten on the deck with a stunning view of Loch Tay and also a tasty Italian meal at the on site restaurant. Would love to return

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review. So glad you enjoyed your stay - you were a pleasure to host. Hope you come back to stay again!

“Snowy stay”

Reviewed 1 Mar 2018

We had a fabulous break here in February the location is beautiful especially with the snow caped mountains. The lodge was very homely with all the facilities you could need and there is lots to do in the area if you can drag yourself away from the view we had 3 young kids and would definitely recommend the highland safari and in the winter a trip to Glencoe ski resort for tobogganing. The staf on site could not have been more helpful especially when we got stuck in snow and the restaurant was great as well. Kids already asking when we will go back.

Owner's reply: You were lovely guests and welcome back any time. We are delighted you all enjoyed your stay. You packed so much in - but we've been staying for years and still finding new things to do! Hope to welcome you back soon xx

Stayed at Firbush Lodge over New Years with my family of 5. We all had a wonderful relaxing time. The lodge is really well equiped and spacious. Feels like a home from home. The owners cant do enough for you, really welcoming and helped us book New Year Hogroast. Janine was amazing througout. Beautiful setting overlooking Loch Tay and only a short drive to Killin, which is a lovely little town with lots of places to eat out if you wish. We would definetly return here, we all loved it and really didnt want to leave. Thanks Janine

Owner's reply: You are more than welcome! So glad you all enjoyed Hogmany and New Year at Firbush and felt at home! We just love it there and delighted you did too. One visit is just not enough! You and your family were lovely guests and welcome back any time.

“Tranquil lodge with stunning views overlooking the loch with scenic backdrop of Scotttish hills.”

Reviewed 8 May 2017

Peaceful and scenic surroundings with full view of loch with water sports and large open grass areas allowing each lodge generous garden space - ideal for children and dogs. Forrest walk right behind lodge, leading down to water's edge. Only 3 miles to nearest very picturesque Killin with postcard views of mountain range nearby. Delighted to find dog friendly bars/restaurants and friendly cafes here. Short journeys to other loch villages nearby and along the loch side made day nice day trip. Lodge's lounge view through full floor to ceiling height glazing left us constantly wanting to sit and admire the views making our stay so special and relaxing.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review. Delighted you enjoyed Firbush, Loch Tay and everything the area has to offer. I know what you mean about the view - we can never get enough of it!

Just spent the weekend at Firbush Lodge in Tayside with family and absolutely loved it. Cosy, clean and spacious. Spectacular views and so peaceful. Definitely thinking of booking again!! Recommend it

“Pleasant cabin amidst similar others with loch view”

Reviewed 15 Nov 2016

Pleasant stay with family. Not a huge amount to do for our teenage boys in the area so be prepared to make your own fun. The loch side bistro was good but the sailing school was not obviously open and unappealing.

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review Graham - so glad you enjoyed your stay. Many of the sailing school activities are weather dependent and as it is the quiet season pre booking may be required at this time of year. I will highlight this to future guests.

“Second stay in the best place on earth”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2016

This is our second stay at Firbush Lodge and it was even more amazing than the first. The Lodge is very well furnished and can easily cope with the four of us and our dog. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped with a double and 4 single beds in the 3 bed rooms, an adequate bathroom and the most important bit... The living/dining area is comfortable with plenty of space and light, it is warm and cosy when the snow is falling and bright and airy when the sun is shining and the porch door is open. You dine with the loch and mountains as your view which is stunning. The site its self has a sailing/fishing boat hire center, a lovely resteraunt/bar with great food and an open fire and a mini golf course. There is a beautiful woodland right next to the lodge and the loch and its great for the kids/dog to explore with small waterfalls and hidden bays and some truely stunning trees around which dens can be built. There is also a small play area and frisbee golf area further up the hill but we only used these briefly as my family preferred the woodland and the beaches of the loch. Just a few of the things that we got up to in the local area seem to have hardly touched the surface but we climbed up Ben Lawers (even the 3 year old as there is a nice path to follow from the car park), We walked up the Birks of Aberfeldy (a beautiful gorge and waterfall), went pony riding in Kenmore, had a highland safari with a brilliant tour guide in a Landrover, visited the Crannog Center which we found very interesting and really enjoyed speaking to the staff and getting to do some of the activities of Iron age life (we may even have made it onto the web site video which they were filming the day we were there) and went for a walk around Taymouth Castle. There are many more things to see and do in the area and all over the Highlands which we fully intend to do using Firbush Lodge as our base next summer. The owners are also incredibly nice. I have been in contact with them since our first booking, they gave us a repeat booking discount and contacted us the day before we were due to arrive to say that the lodge had been vacant so we could arrive at any time we wanted. I can not recommend this Lodge highly enough and really can't wait to get back up there again in the summer of 2017. We all loved it so much that our 3 and 5 year old boys both cried that they didnt want to leave at the end of our holiday.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely review. We love it there too and it was so nice to hear that all of you - especially the children had such a good time. We have been going for years and are still finding new things to do. Look forward to welcoming you all back next year!

“Amazing location & cozy lodge”

Reviewed 29 Dec 2015

This lodge is in and amazing location overlooking Loch Tay. It has everything a family required. Pleanty of walking right from the door.

Owner's reply: It is an amazing location - thank you for review. Glad you all had a lovely time and a safe journey home.

“An amazing location!”

Reviewed 27 Oct 2015

I would highly recommend a stay at the Firbush Lodge. It is on the banks of the beautiful Loch Tay with stunning views and surrounded by hills and mountains. The tame ducks keep young children occupied and the verandah is a wonderful base for adults to sit with a cuppa and watch them enjoying nature in this safe environment. The Lodge itself is fully equipped and comfortable and our three nights there were very enjoyable.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much. We are delighted you had a great time and enjoyed everything Firbush and the location has to offer
