Description from owner

Description

Blinkbonnie Cottage is set in beautiful forrest countryside within the Loch Lomond National Park. The cottage faces directly south and has a small Lochan at the end of the garden where trout can be seen jumping. The whole area is a haven for wildlife and only 2 miles from the village of Killin which is home to the famous Falls of Dochart and at the western end of Loch Tay. Killin has many eating houses and very good Coop store for all your needs.
You are within 90 minutes of Glasgow and Edinburgh and only 60 minutes or less from Oban, Glencoe, Gleneagles, Perth and Stirling. The village of Lochearnhead is 4 miles to the south where all styles of water-sports and fishing can be arranged. We have two golf courses within 20 minutes and many more a little further away.
If you are after a real chill out style holiday or a base to tour Scotland from, Blinkbonnie Cottage is the place for you.

“Great Location!”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2017

A very warm welcome and kind assistance with day trips from Sandie and David, thank you. Wonderful views and complete peace and quiet and yet very convenient for the village and main routes for sightseeing. A cosy welcoming cottage to come home to each evening. Thank you. We hope we can visit again.

Owner's reply: Thank you all for your kind review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay! Also we would like to thank you for looking after the cottage so well. You and family are welcome back anytime, just give us a call.

“quiet retreat in beautiful surroundings”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2017

the location of this property is its most attractive feature. Close to the beautiful village of Killin and Loch Tay. Great for wild swimming, paddleboarding, hiking and the like. The cottage is well kitted out with everything you would need, with the limited supply of hot water being the only issue for sporty people wanting to frequently bathe or shower in HOT water.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your favourable review, but I cannot understand the water problem. We have a full sized domestic hot water tank which is operated by the latest Horstmann Hot Water Programmer. The switch allows you to select the amount of hot water required and when it is required. If you had phoned me during your stay I would have been able to call and explain that like any other immersion hot water system, it is not instant, it takes time to heat a volume of water. The instructions for the hot water are on the switch, on the kitchen notice board and in the cottage handbook. Thank you again for your comments.
