Sandymouth Beach is just two miles away, offering a beautiful expanse of National Trust beach with shop and toilets and Bude is a few miles down the road for shops, amusements, boat trips, supermarkets, crazy golf with plenty of pubs and cafes.

If it rains, there's an indoor pool complex with wave machine next to Morrisons on the way into Bude as well as bowling.

Location description from owner

The Cornwall region

The West Country / Cornwall region

The whole of the North Cornwall area is surrounded by beautiful beaches, bustling coastal resorts, fishing villages and many beauty spots.

There is an abundance of activities for all the family such as the Milky Way and Big Sheep adventure parks, swimming, surfing, and so on.

Some beautiful seaside towns and villages in the area include Boscastle, Padstow, Tintagel (home of King Arthur's Castle), Port Isaac (home to the TV programme 'Doc Martin'), Newquay, Bideford and Barnstaple.

Kilkhampton

The Bude / Kilkhampton area

The holiday park has an abundance of parkland and woodland which can be strolled around at leisure. Around the chalet itself, there is plenty of space for sunbathing.

Kilkhampton village is a 5-10 minute walk from the site. It has two family-friendly pubs, post office, two local stores and a few specialist shops, along with fish and chips, pizza and Chinese take-aways. There are many footpaths to follow to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The village of Kilkhampton is situated approximately 5 miles from the seaside town of Bude. It is three miles (5 minutes drive) from the beautiful Sandymouth Beach (with a National Trust cafe) and a further 5 minutes from the Duckpool Beach.

Bude also has plenty to offer. There are traditional seaside style shops selling buckets and spades and souvenirs; but there are also numerous art galleries, clothing boutiques, surf stores, New Age mystical shops, jewellers, delicatessen and convenience stores, newsagents, booksellers and a department store. There are several Post Offices, Banks, Estate Agents, Law firms and Petrol Stations too. The town centre has a Sainsbury's and a Co-Op, and Morrisons is just a few minutes away.

Bude is known to have great surfing and watersports, but there are also many more activites available such as walking, cycling, horse-riding, rock-climbing, abseiling, carting, fishing, golfing, pitch and putting, mountain boarding, ten-pin bowling, field archery and paintball.
