Description

Sams cottage is situated between the Irish sea and the Mourne Mountains. Kilkeel is famous for its fishing fleet and the abundance of fresh fish. The harbour is always a busy place with lots of fishing boats. There are also many sandy beaches close by the most well known is Cranfield. It has blue flag status and lots of clean sand and great views of Carlingford lough and the light house.
The Mourne mountains are easily accessed for the casual and the serious walkers. The Blue lough and Lough Shannagh being two of the most visited. Slieve Donard, the highest mountain in the range is only a short distance away.

Kilkeel
From the cottages it is only a short drive to Rostrevor, famous for the Ross monument and beautiful river walk in the Fairy Glen and up to the Cloughmore Stone. Round the coast to Warrenoint, a thriving port and town, great places to eat and shop.
Continue through the mountains following the Yellow river where there are many picnic sites ans walks unto the
