This wonderful Kihei Akahi, 1 bedroom / 1 bath, ocean view condo has been remodeled and professionally decorated in a Hawaiian style with artwork from local artists. You'll find everything you need to relax and immerse yourself in the Aloha spirit of Maui.

The condo is perfect for special people like you who enjoy the luxury of having that first cup of coffee sitting on the lanai, watching the changing colors of the sky and ocean, smelling the scent of plumeria and listening to the birds sing. Or enjoy a Maui sunset sipping a Mai Tai before a romantic moonlight walk on the beach.

A fully equipped kitchen allows you to make your favorite meals if you choose to cook or you can walk a short distance to some of the best restaurants and shops in Kihei. Wailea is just a five minute drive for great shopping.

Located on the 4th floor of the C building in Kihei Akahi, just 100 yards from the soft sands and warm waters of Kamaole Beach II, where you can relax on the beach, snorkel, boogie board or body surf. The wonderful tropical breeze naturally cools the condo when the windows are open.

The unit has beach towels, mats, umbrella, chairs and cooler for your use. If you enjoy walking, a path along the beach connects to the Wailea resort area. There is an activity desk at the complex to help you schedule activities such as luau's, Molokini trips, etc. Since we live close-by, we have a guest book with some of our favorite Maui activities and restaurants, snorkeling spots, and beaches too.

The Kihei Akahi tennis court opens at 7:00am so you can get in that early morning game. Golf is available at one of 6 world class courses within 5-10 minutes drive.

The is maintained with very high standards with regard to aesthetic appeal and cleanliness. There is no smoking within the condo or on the lanai. No pets are allowed.

Getting around

The most convenient way to see the sights is to have a rental car. This allows flexibility for you to go anywhere at any time. But there is a good bus service on Maui. The pick up and drop off is within a block of the condo on the Kihei Islander with transfers available enroute to other buses. You can learn more here: http://www.co.maui.hi.us/609/Maui-Bus-Public-Transit-System. If you just want to relax on the beach and not travel around to see the sights, you could take a cab or bus from the airport. Then use the bus for most travel (bus stops are at the grocery stores and major shopping spots). There is are rental car and scooter companies in the Kihei that will rent for a day to augment the bus service.

Interaction with guest

Since I live in Kihei, I enjoy helping my guests learn about things to do, places to eat, and activities. All you have to do is ask. Otherwise, my interaction with you is minimal. There is a lockbox on the front door with the key. I use text messaging for most communications once you arrive. But I'm more than happy to meet with you if you like.
