This beautiful period property sits in the village of Mynyddygarreg, approximately 1 mile from Kidwelly town which has lots of child and pet friendly shops, places to eat and things to do including an award winning beach just 10 mins away, Kidwelly castle just 5 mins away, Ferry trips 15 mins away and a big children brand new play area right over the road. It's the perfect holiday home for larger groups of friends and families and we welcome dogs too. There is a very large enclosed rear garden which is great for dogs and children to play safely. The main house has five bedrooms, including four with zip/link beds, which give the option of flexibility, being doubles or twins. There is also a mezzanine room with twin beds that can be accessed via a wooden stairway from the utility room or from one of the double bedrooms through a small, child sized doorway! This means it is perfect for a family. The family bedroom has a king size double and a single bed and also, its own, very large en-suite bathroom with a separate shower. There is also a shared family bathroom and a ground floor WC for added convenience. With three more single beds on the first floor of the external games room, as well as a shower room, this spacious holiday home really does provide ample accommodation for everyone! The dining room is perfect for gathering around and celebrating special occasions and also has a handy hatchway through from the kitchen, which is well-equipped for catering for large groups, or putting together picnics for days out and about exploring. After a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, retire to the spacious sitting room where you can relax and enjoy a snooze. The kitchen is next to the utility, which has a door leading onto the patio, where you will find the luxurious sauna, new private hot tub (extra fee of £50 for use applies) and access to The May, an annexe with a games room. In here is a pool table, dartboard, children games as well as it's own smart TV. Outside, the play area in the enclosed garden creates somewhere for the younger ones to run around and burn off any excess energy, while there is also a large and fun children's play park a two-minute walk away! With its thatched roof, The Masons Arms in Kidwelly is one of the oldest pubs in Wales, The White Lion is also fabulous for home cooked food and do a tasty Sunday Carvery. There are many other attractions to keep you occupied nearby, including the medieval Kidwelly Castle. Pack your walking boots and explore the Brecon Beacons, the Pembroke Coast National Park, or why not take a stroll through the popular seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot? The Millennium Coastal Path is just a couple of miles away, perfect for walking or cycling and also just two miles away is the 10-mile sandy beach at Pembrey Country Park, where you'll find a host of attractions including horse riding and tobogganing. With so many wonderful things to discover in the area, The Croft is a great choice of holiday destination for exploring South Wales!

We always meet guests on arrival to ensure they are happy with everything and to show them how to use the hot tub safely, the central heating and point out anything nearby that they may need / want to visit. There is ample information in the house but we always like guests to feel that they can contact us at any time as we want everyone to have the very best time possible and if that mean us dropping off something needed or fixing something minor - we are always happy to do it.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Laura and Andy (the owner) a message.

    If Laura and Andy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
