Castlerigg is a first floor maisonette and is situated just off Keswick town centre in Packhorse Court, which is a quiet pedestrianised courtyard just off the main square in Keswick. It is home to a selection of boutique style shops and a traditional Lakeland Inn. The location is ideal for those who wish to enjoy the town's amenities without having to use a car.

The apartment has electric heating and comprises:

•Lounge/diner with flat screen TV, DVD player and CD/radio with iPod docking station and views out onto Packhorse Court.
•Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer.
•Double bedroom.
•Family bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
•Second floor: Exceptionally spacious bedroom with galleried window overlooking the living area and views of Skiddaw. King sized bed and day bed incorporating a full sized single mattress; this room can therefore be used as the master bedroom or as a twin. Additional flat screen TV, DVD player and two adult sized bean bags - making this an ideal kids chill out zone. (Please note that the additional bed is for flexible sleeping only. The apartment sleeps a maximum of four persons.)
•All electric and bed linen provided. (Please note that towels are not provided)
•Parking permit for nearby car park. please note a refundable deposit of £20 is required for the use of the parking permit)
•Free Wi-Fi available.

Many thanks for your review. I am very sorry that you were disappointed with the cleanliness of the property; a deep clean has now been undertaken and a further deep clean will be performed at the end of August. The door handle has been replaced since your visit - unfortunately we had to wait several week before the locksmith could obtain the replacement part, which was in fact on order at the time that you visited. Regarding the accessibility of the property, the description on the website states only that the property has a bedroom which is on the same floor as the kitchen and living area, it doesn't state that there is an accessible ground floor bedroom, nor that the property is suitable for guests with limited mobility. I do however apologise for any confusion caused and have asked for the description to be clarified to avoid any future issues.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Fiona (the owner) a message.

If Fiona (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
