The kitchen is completed to a high standard with integrated Neff appliances and induction hob, granite work surfaces and slate floor. There is a wall mounted Sony flatscreen TV and iPod docking station. Crandy Nook continues to enjoy Visit Britain 4* Gold Award rating putting it in their top 7% for quality assessed self-catering accommodation nationwide. Located in the centre of Keswick, Crandy Nook is just a couple of minutes from- the Moot Hall (tourist information), where many of the local walks start.- Fitz Park.- Keswick's Leisure Centre.- Restaurants, pubs and shops. Keswick is an all year round popular destination on the shores of Derwentwater. This friendly town hosts the twice-weekly market that has recently won the coveted "Best Outdoor Market" in the Great British Market Awards.

The Lake District National Park is famous for its stunning scenery, abundant wildlife and cultural heritage. It boasts 16 lakes. Scafell Pike is its highest peak, other renowned peaks include Skiddaw, Helvellyn and Blencathra.

Keswick

Keswick on Derwentwater is an attractive market town set amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in the Lake District

There is something for everyone. Activities include a variety of water sports, wall climbing, paragliding and swimming. Go Ape and mountain biking are in nearby Whinlatter Forest. Keswick also offers two large public parks which offer games facilities in open, wooded and garden settings. Other facilities include a new sports hall, leisure pool, cinema, golf, cycle hire and fishing. Why not try the 400-seat Theatre on the Lake or a cruise on Derwentwater.

Historic places of interest include the 4000-year old Castlerigg Stone Circle, Mirehouse, Victorian museum, and the pencil museum. There is a twice-weekly market.

You will be spoilt for choice for walking either by using Keswick as a base or taking day trips to Ullswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere or further afield, the South Lakes. Personal favourites are Scafell Like, the Borrowdale Valley, Latrigg and the walk around the shores of Derwentwater. Those more adventurous, will head for Sharp edge on Blencathra.
