This listing is for Beckside Barns can be configured for different sizes of group but it is ideally suited for 8 people in 4 bedrooms.

Beckside Barns is beautifully presented and has been renovated to the highest standards with Oak fittings, Triple glazing and under floor heating. Inside you'll find an Oak Kitchen with Granite Surfaces and Butler sink, Bosch & Neff Appliances (including Induction Hob, Double-oven, Microwave, dishwasher, Washer-Dryer), free Wi-Fi, DAB radio / CD with iPod dock, large Samsung LED TV with Blue Ray DVD player, Satellite TV with HD and International channels. “23 of us stayed there and it worked well”

For our 40th wedding anniversary 23 of us, including 12 children the oldest of whom was nine stayed in 5 apartments. It all worked very well, the high quality of the rooms was appreciated and we could eat together. Went on trips during the daytime, and had our own space at night. There was even a Gilbert & Sullivan show on in Kendal in the evening and we found a welcoming church in Parr Street for Sunday morning. The kids also arranged for a photographer to come down for a couple of hours to take family pics. Successful holiday experience.

We have recently returned from a week stay at the Hyning Estate. Historically we have never been creatures of habit but we found the Hyning Estate back in the summer of 2013 and have returned six times since. Often when you return somewhere you can take your surroundings for granted, not here. The building has been lovingly renovated to the highest of standards with attention to detail on every single aspect. Each property is immaculate and kitted out with everything you need, they are also luxurious, homely and practical even for little ones with cots, high chairs and stair gates all available on request. The property is a true labour of love for owners Jan and Richard who make you feel very welcome throughout the stay, we have enjoyed many drinks in the onsite bar chatting around the fire in winter or watching the stunning sun sets on warm summers evening. It is fair to say this will not be our last visit.

We had an amazing weekend with friends and family. The accommodation is to the highest standard the views were amazing and the space for us all the party was brilliant. Jan and Richard put on an amazing meal for our party of 23 and we're excellent hosts.I would absolutely recommend this place and we plan to come back next year

We stayed for 4 nights and hired the inter- connecting Granary and The Old Forge. The accommodation was faultless. A lot of attention has gone into the standard of furnishings and equipment. Richard and Jan very kindly moved the furniture between the two cottages to suit our needs. It is also situated in a beautiful quiet spot with lovely views. Only a 10 minute drive to Kendal where there is a Morrison store on the way in to the town.

Richard and Jan are terrific hosts and the property was superb. We stayed here as a family including children and grandparents and we were all pleased with the house itself and the grounds available. We would not hesitate in returning.

Found the Hyning Estate to be everything we hoped it would be - a very beautiful complex in a lovely setting. Everything you could think of was supplied and Jan and Richard were very welcoming and had great knowledge about the local area. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

My husband, my brother and I stayed at The Hyning for 3 nights in June and it was absolutely brilliant. We were kindly upgraded to the Farmhouse. My husband and I have spent more than 25 years traveling for work and stayed in a wide range of accommodation around the world, and my brother works in the tourism industry in Europe...and we have to say that The Hyning was absolutely without question, TOP of the range. The quality of the property is FAR superior to anywhere else I have stayed, and the commitment to sustainability is very highly commendable and distinctive. The view is awesome, the sunset breathtaking, the peace and quiet is simply rejuvenating. I have recommended The Hyning to everyone I have spoken to since. REALLY FANTASTIC and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The title says it all!! Back for the second time, first time staying in the The Old Forge, this time in The Granary and we are going back in a few months to stay in Hall Beck Cottage with extended family. The standard of the accommodation is outstanding, very high quality and worthy of 5* rating, everything is provided, just add food and Family. The location is idyllic, far enough from Kendal to feel suitably remote but close enough to pop in for shopping and only 20 mins by car from Windermere.

The Hyning Estate is an excellent base for visiting the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The accommodation is first class, very clean, well equipped and lacking for nothing. The owners were very friendly and helpfull, even providing some welcome goodies on our arrival. Would Definitely visit again and recommend to friends.
