“Lovely spacious, well-equipped cottage”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2016

We stayed in this lovely, comfortable cottage for a long weekend whilst attending a family wedding in St Boswells. We met the owners only briefly on arrival and departure and found them extremely friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our all too short stay in a peaceful, relaxing location close to the quaint border town of Kelso. It would be good to spend more time enjoying the many local walks and exploring Kelso and other nearby towns further. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.

“No-one wanted to leave!”

From the moment we arrived we loved the property, Ashley and Simon were very welcoming not only to us humans but our two spaniels as well who loved their own space in the well built kennel provided close by in the farm yard. The house itself was a great size with plenty of room for four adults, the kitchen was well designed with everything within reach and plenty of worktop space. We spent most of the day out and about exploring the area (the house made a great base for this) but once we got back we could watch the sunset from the well appointed lounge. In the evening we made the most of the great selection of games kept at the house and certainly made use of the wi-fi. Our eight days flew by far too quickly but we enjoyed every moment and will certainly be recommending to friends, in fact we're hoping to get back there ourselves so we can bring the bikes and make the most of the great cycle trails close by!

What a lovely review- thank you! You are welcome back anytime and we are just delighted that you all enjoyed your stay. Best wishes, Ashley.

“Perfect for small family or group”

Great weekend spent. Cottage in pristine condition, superb family kitchen. Highly recommend for small family/group. Very welcoming hosts. Great that the cottage is on a working farm that you have a chance to experience.

We hired the cottage for a group of six during the Border Union Show weekend. It was the ideal location, beautifully appointed and spacious. A warm welcome from Ashley and Simon. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Kersmains and recommend it.

Lovely to have you all to stay James, and thank you for the lovely review. We hope to have you back again next year! Best wishes, Ashley
