“wow I wanna go back The Tenas on Tour”

Reviewed 29 Sep 2015

Myself and 9 female friends spent 2 nights in these 2 beautiful cottages to celebrate my 50th..the owner Susan was very easy to keep in touch with and catered for our every need.on arrival we were blown away with the outside space and the lovely views. On entering, it just got better both cottages were kitted out to a very high standered the space was amazing.we had enough room in the old smithy cottage to add a table and all eat together, with still enough room to party in the open plan lounge n kitchen. Everyone had a great nights sleep as beds n pillars were so comfy n clean.we partied hard for 2 nights but without neighbours as such we were able to be as loud as we wanted without upsetteng anyone. Great place Will certainly be back.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your fantastic review. We are delighted that you had such a great time in the cottages, we are only too happy to help with guests particular wishes when we can. We are glad that you appreciated the lovely comfy beds and pillows and hope to see you back again soon.

“Amazing!”

We had a lovely week end at the The Old Smithy & River Cottages to celebrate my husband's 30th Birthday! Both cottages are great and perfect for a big group (we were 11) because there is so much space outside and inside. The rooms are perfect and the kitchen of the Old Smithy is so big! There were also confortable sofas and all the things we needed. Everything was nice, clean and tidy when we arrived. All of our friends had such a good time!

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to review our properties, and thanks for the lovely comments, we are very pleased you found them comfortable and suited your every needs. We look forward to your return. Kind regards, Susan

“Excellent getaway with friends”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2013

We celebrated New Year at both the Old Smithy and River Cottage and found it was the perfect location. The cottages were both beautiful and provided a large area for everyone to spend time together in the Old Smithy whilst offering separate living spaces for people to escape to in River Cottage. The location was excellent - good walks. We felt like we were in the countyside but had the convenience of a town 2 miles away. This is the 5th year that our group have spent together in rental cottages and everyone agreed this was the best!

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is nice to know that out of all the cottages you have stayed at over the years, that you found ours to be the best. We hope that you will visit us again. Thanks
