Baile Slievemore Holiday Homes are perched on the slopes of Slievemore on an elevated site with panoramic sea views, approximately 3km (2 miles) from the main village of Keel. Situated on the scenic Atlantic Drive in a quiet rural setting beside the famous 'Deserted Village' and spectacular Megalithic Tomb. All cottages are 4* Bord Failte registered and sleep up to 5 people, each one decorated with high quality furnishings throughout, with natural stone and pine floors. The cottages have panoramic views of Keel Lake, Minaun Cliffs, Clew Bay and islands. House layout 3 bed rooms: one double one twin one single Facilities Cottages have Living/dining room with TV and open fire. Kitchens have cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Ground floor bathroom with shower. Storage heating throughout. Bed linen included. Towels are available to hire. Outside approximately 3km (2 miles) from the main village of Keel. on street parking. It is a safe haven, Westport touches the south east shores of the Atlantic inlet of Clew Bay and lies against the backdrop Croagh Patrick. It has been crowned the best place to live in Ireland. Croagh Patrick Croagh Patrick is situated near the town of Westport in County Mayo, Ireland. The main pilgrimage route originates in the village of Murrisk, 8km outside Westport. It is best to climb the mountain in summer and the views on a clear day are spectacular. The Centre at Croagh Patrick has a restaurant, information services, guided tours of the mountain, packed lunches, secure lockers, craft shop, shower facilities (for a nominal fee). Pirate Adventure Park Pirate Adventure Park and Westport House in Mayo has become one of Ireland's best loved attractions. There is a variety of attractions and things to do to for the whole family. It is set on the 480 acre estate, the Pirate Adventure Park is a treasure trove of family fun with its Grace O'Malley-themed amusement park with rides and activities ideally suited to families with children under 12. Ceide Fields Visitor Centre Mayo The stone walled fields, extending over thousands of acres are almost 6,000 years old, the oldest known in the world. They are covered by a natural blanket bog. The Visitor Centre has won several awards, including the Gold Medal for architecture. It is located beside some of the most spectacular cliffs and rock formations in Ireland and a viewing platform is positioned on the edge of the 110m high cliff. Ceide Fields Visitor Centre Opening Times Mid-march – May: Daily 10.00 – 17.00 June – September: Daily 10.00 – 18.00 October – November: Daily 10.00 – 17.00 Marian Shrine, Knock, County Mayo On the wet Thursday evening of the 21st August, 1879, at about 8 o'clock, Our Lady, St. Joseph, and St. John the Evangelist appeared in a blaze of Heavenly light at the south gable of Knock Parish Church. Behind them and a little to the left of St. John was a plain altar. The Apparition was seen by fifteen people whose ages ranged from six years to seventy-five and included men, women and children.
