Spectacular villa, front line to the sea, with a private bathing plaform. All of our reviews have been five stars. Our feedback from our first ever renters was : "We're having a wonderful time in your lovely home. You were smart to buy this place. I've stayed in five other villas on the peninsula -- Sundown by far is my favorite" Other reviewers have said "idyllic location" "absolutely stunning" "spectacular" "an forgettable family vacation".Sundown Villa is a sea frontline villa on the Peninsula, in the attractive and historic town of Kas, on the beautiful and unspoilt Mediterranean (Turquoise) coast of Turkey. The villa is in a prestigious, quiet neighbourhood with direct access to the sea; the villa is not overlooked. All three bedrooms in the main house have a balcony or private terrace with a full sea view. Three bathrooms; one bedroom being en suite, the other two having bathrooms by their sides. There is a fourth bathroom, en suite, below the 9m*4m pool.Spectacular vaulted, two storey lounge with a massive beamed cedar wood ceiling and a gallery linking the two upper floor bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and a separate dining area for 8 persons. Multiple terraces, including an enclosed courtyard and an outside dining area next to the private pool with infinity edge; so places to lie in the sun or shade, as preferred.Private parking adjacent to the house with level access. This is one of the most luxurious villas in the region built with local stone to the highest standard. West facing with spectacular sunsets, stunning views over the sea and the Taurus mountains. The villa has direct access to the sea via its own beach platform. In addition, we are 5 minutes walk to some local hotels, whose facilities (such as sunbeds etc) you can use, provided some drinks are bought. In July 2015, the Akropol bar and restaurant, situated above us, reopened after being closed for a few years, but we remain not overlooked.

The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region
The Turquoise Coast of Turkey offers an alluring combination of beautiful scenery and ancient sites and is the perfect place for some fine coastal and inland walking.
Highlights include the ruined city of Arycanda, the chance to paddle over the sunken city of Kekova, and some fantastic views along the way.
Kas is set in a charming location on the Lycian Coast and is surrounded by magnificent mountainous countryside, and the water offers excellent swimming and scuba diving. Kas has managed to maintain its traditional fishing village atmosphere and despite its international popularity has not been spoiled by the ravages of mass tourism.
Kas lies between Antalya and Fethiye on the majestic Lycian coast. The sheltered bay of Kas is composed of the old harbor winged by Limanagiz bay and the peninsula, facing the Greek island of Kastellorizo (tr. Meis) only 5km away. Kas is an ideal location to enjoy archaeology exploration, boating trips and other activities with tour operators that can help you with your choices.

"Lovely villa in fantastic setting"
We have just returned from a great week in this beautiful villa. The accommodation is lovely; spacious, airy and beautifully kept. The setting is fantastic; walking into the villa, the first thing you see, through 'room-wide' sliding glass doors, is the view of the open sea, framed by mountains. In the evening it is in perfect position to watch the sun set! There are multiple, comfortable seating areas from which to admire the view; the garden and pool were immaculately kept by Mehmet, the gardener, who called each day and also dropped fresh bread off, if required, each morning. We hired a car, which we would recommend as we were able to really explore the area and there was lots to do; as well as relaxing by the pool, we visited Roman ruins, went gorge-walking, drove up to see the fantastic views of the coast from the mountains and spent one day on a boat visiting different coves and The Sunken City of Kekova. Talking to others, they spoke very highly of the local bus service from the Peninsula area to Kas centre (leaving to Kas every 15 mins and returning every half an hour) and we passed many buses travelling between Kas and the various spots that we visitied, so getting about without a car also looked quite easy. Cunayt, who manages the villa for Jane and Allan, was very helpful; he speaks very good English (his wife is from Cardiff!) and recommended restaurants / made suggestions of places we might like to see. He arranged the boat trip for us and also the transfer from the airport (much chaper than anticipated) and hire car (discounted because transfer booking). This was our first trip to Turkey; we loved Kas and thought that we were very lucky to have 'found' Sundown villa on our first visit - it would be very difficult to beat it for location, position, comfort and accommodation. We would visit again without hesitation!

Just came back from a very relaxing holiday in our favourite villa on the peninsula. Sundown Villa is very well appointed and spacious, and the view is simply gorgeous. The pool has a good size for a decent swim and we also used the villa's private platform to go for a swim in the sea. Mehmet, the housekeeper/gardener brought us fresh bread every morning and took care of the pool and the plants. Allan and Jane, the owners, were very helpful and even provided a nice welcome pack which provided everything for breakfast on the next morning. We will definitely return next year.
