“A lovely, very well eqipped and homely villa which is magnificently located.”

Reviewed 29 Feb 2012

We have stayed in the villa several times and intend returning. The owner is delightful and couldn't be more helpful either when booking or when offering feedback on return. Just about everything you would need is supplied in the villa and the pool and grounds are beautifully maintained. The location, though, is the lovliest part of all. The area is very quiet and roughly 5 miles away from the main centre of Kas where shops and restaurants are to be found. You can either hire a car or use the Dolmus at the top of the hill into town. The only drawback is the the walk up to the main road which is very steep and would challenge any one who isn't reasonably fit. We do love the views across to the island of Meis and the peace and quiet.

“Feeling at home”

Reviewed 27 Jan 2012

We (Grandparents, parents and our 2 years old granddaughter) had relaxing 10 days in this comfortable, well maintained villa. The equipment of the villa is perfect, the furniture is personell and comfortable. The pool was a exciting place for our youngest, the elder ones enjoyed to walk to the sea, a very short way through green gardens. We liked the villa and the place very much. Thank you, Amanda !

“A gem of a villa in the most attractive seaside town in Turkey”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2011

An extremely comfortable and stylish villa done with good taste. Very pleasant terrace with lots of sun loungers, plus shared pool and bathing platform. We enjoyed long peaceful days soaking up the sun and swimming in the crystal clear sea. The villa is out on the Kas peninsula, but there is a frequent bus into Kas, which is a lovely town with some fantastic restaurants and shops. Enjoy the tranquillity of the villa by day and the buzz of the town in the evening.

“A dream house in a perfect location”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2011

We stayed in Villa Lycia in August of 2009 and 2010. We absolutely loved staying at the villa and our teenage kids rated both holidays as our best holidays ever. We found the villa exceptionally well appointed, (I loved the perfectly well equipped kitchen, a rarity in holiday homes!) and felt very much at home from the moment we arrived. The interior is tasteful and lovingly decorated and offers plenty of space and privacy for everyone staying. We loved being able to walk down to the swimming platform every morning for a swim and spent most days snorkeling, reading and simply enjoying the stunning view and the peace and quiet this place offers. Kas is a very charming and pretty village and is perfect for going out to have a nice meal in the evening and go browsing in the many pretty little shops and market stalls. Once accustomed to the August heat, we also ventured out to explore the beautiful surroundings, neighbouring villages or go on the occasional boat trip. In our view Villa Lycia is the dream house for a dream holiday and we will certainly go back for more.

“A place of peace and sweet smells in the sunshine”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2011

Villa Lycia, private, compact and well furnished is just a joyful experience. On the outskirts of picturesque and friendly Kas there is a whole Lycian history to see and lots of it near enough to reach painlessy whether it is the sunken city, viewed from the decks of a local boat , the ruins of mighty Xanthos or the sunny site of Letoon with its frogs and terrapins basking on broken pillars.,The area is full of restaurants and cafes, some fairly sophisticated and others very unprepossessing in appearance but all full of friendly people and excellent fresh and tasty food.made from local ingredients. Back in the villa the pool and colourful garden are kept scrupulously clean by the bread and water delivering Omar the gardener, there is a well equipped kitchen, efficient air con, stamped postcards to send, excellent mosquito deterrents, nets around the beds, electronic devices and serious screens on all the doors and windows . Another bonus is that there are lots of good novels to read and some serious Turkish guides and best of all good bright bedside lights to read them by. I think I shall return.
