Very Good

“Absolutely stunning!”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2014

The villa is at the top of patara prince resort which is great for catching the dolmus up and down the resort to the swimming pools and sunbathing terraces as well as being easy to go into town! The villa is spacious and well equipped especially the BBQ which we utilised a few times in the evenings. The only things missing would have been a full length mirror and a washing machine. The villa is very comfortable with plenty of space and the AC in the bedroom is plenty for the villa! We spent most days sitting out in the terrace admiring the view. WIFI is pretty hit and miss and works best on the terrace however we did find that WIFI in Kalkan overall is pretty crap.. Patara prince shuttle boat was a great way if going into town and cheaper than catching a taxi we did invest in a motorbike for the 10 days as walking up the hills is a real killer! Kalkan is a beautiful town with some amazing restaurants like Salt n pepper, alternative restaurant, Aubergine and El Fener. We spent most nights at Club Karma having a few drinks and dancing the night away, we regularly visit Turkey and have been to many resorts but have to say Kalkan tops them all! Pricier than most Turkish resorts however well worth it! The sea is stunning the sunken city tour a must as well as the fethiye market tour to include olu deniz lagoon! Other than that sit back, relax and enjoy the views! This villa is a must rather than a hotel

“Palm 235 Patara Prince”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2013

From the moment I first contacted Martin to check on availability, to arriving back from a wonderful 10 days at his apartment, the whole thing was made, by him and his friends in Turkey, to be an absolute breeze. Access, directions and car hire we’re all meticulously arranged. The apartment is recently renovated and located at the top of the Patara Prince resort, which appeared quieter than certain parts which was nice. Other than the pools, I didn’t use a great deal of the facilities at the resort, but everything seemed okay, and the shuttle bus was a godsend to ferry you up the hill. Overall, I’d highly recommend the rental and would thank Martin for all his help throughout.

“Kalkan was brilliant”

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Patara and especialy our apartment-235.From being picked up as arranged to being dropped off as arranged, back at the airpor,t we could not have had a better time.Would recommend Kalkan to anyone.

“Exactly as described by the owner, stylish and well positioned.”

Quiet location with partial sea views.Lovely patio area to sit out in the mornings early evening.Clean, stylish and well equipped.Helpful information for guests.Within easy reach of bus stop, shop and infinity pool. The resort itself is beautiful, but you need to be fit to climb the steps. We tried all three pools, our favourite was the infinity pool as it was quieter. The owner was very helpful arranging transfers and welcome pack.Easy walk into town, along a dirt track.Only attempt when the sun goes down.We highly recommend to couples or family with one child.

“A lovely base to a holiday in Kalkan.”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2012

Thank you to Martin and Martin for letting us stay in the lovely Palm 235 apartment. The apartment is perfect for couples and had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday in Kalkan. It is very tastefully decorated and is very comfortable to stay in. As a young couple, we were looking for a quiet break to enjoy each other's company and relax. Palm 235 was the perfect place for us! It is very good value for money so we would definitely rebook Palm 235 in the future and would happily recommend it to others. Martin was very helpful when organising our holiday. He organised the transfer to Kalkan from Dalaman airport and back again. Everything went smoothly, ensuring a stress-free start and end to our holiday! It was lovely to meet Martin and Martin, it is clear that they are both passionate about ensuring that their guests have a lovely stay in their apartment. As they live in Turkey, they were able to offer hands-on assistance and advice which was great. This was our second stay at the Patara Prince Resort. The shuttle bus around the resort is an absolute life saver, especially as the heat regularly exceeded 40 degrees during our week stay. The 3 pools are lovely; the infinity pool is the nearest to the apartment at the top of the resort and it tended to be very quiet. The rest of the resort is clean and tidy and very picturesque. Some of the staff around the resort are charming, however on the whole I found them to be disappointing and were not always entirely helpful. We only ate at the resort twice and found that the food at restaurants in Kalkan offered more choice and was of a much better quality. Taxis into Kalkan are expensive at 15 Turkish Lira so the shuttle boat was a cheaper and much more scenic alternative, although it stops running at 7pm. There is a small supermarket close to the apartment which offes the basics, however it is expensive and shopping at the larger supermarkets in Kalkan is much cheaper. Thanks again to Martin and Martin - we shall look forward to staying in Palm 235 again in the future!

“A wonderful week away that went too quickly”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2012

We've just returned from a week in Kalkan at Patara Prince and it really was a lovely place to stay and perfect for us. The apartment had everything we needed, plus Martin organised a welcome pack for us so that we were sorted at least for 1 night and breakfast the next morning, plus all essentials like tea/coffee/juice/water etc. The apartment itself is ideal for 2 people, and was lovely and bright with a view of the sea (although there are other properties blocking the view somewhat but just to be able to see the sea is a treat coming from London) and a lovely terrace where we spent most of our time when at the apartment. There is a good little supermarket a 2 min walk from the apartment that is well stocked and sells fresh bread and humus too. Patara Prince itself has 3 pools (the top pool was pretty much empty the day we were there and has a great infinity pool with lovely views) and access to the sea. We only ate lunch at the hotel resort on 2 days (1st & last) and I wouldn't recommend it. The food was not very good and compared to the food we had the rest of the time in Kalkan, really unsatisfactory. We enjoyed a drink at the adult pool bar overlooking the sea and watching the boats come in though. Be warned, it is a very steep climb back up to the apartment from the pools - we counted 460 steps, although this was our only exercise all week! There is a shuttle bus, although we always seemed to miss it and be too inpatient to wait for another. Also, the boat service to Kalkan apparently only runs until 7pm in the evening, which was too early for us to get so we ended up walking which takes about 15 mins and we got to watch the sunset as we went. Taxis to & from Patara Prince are very expensive (15 TYR, about £5) considering it only takes 3 minutes. I would recommend the apartment to all my friends, and also Kalkan too. I wish I was back there!

Just returned from the Palm 235,brilliant value for money, the apartment is really nice,it has all been refurbed recently, and is everyting you would need, having stayed in a few apartments in Turkey, this has to be one of the best. Martin the owner, organised our transfers, and from the moment I booked(last year)nothing has been to much trouble for him. The Patara prince resort in also really nice although very hilly and a lot of steps, although a little minibus does run round the resort, taking you up a down the hill. My only issue would be with some of the staff of the Patara prince ,they could do with a bit of customer service training! But don't let this put you off staying at the palm 235. It really is brilliiant value for money. Kalkan old town is about a 20 mins walk along a dusty track, where you will find dozens of very nice restaurants and bars,a couple of restaurants that were our favs where Alibaba's,chapter one,and the lighthouse right at the end of the harbour. Loads of bars just to sit, have a drink and watch the world go by! You will really enjoy Kalkan and especially if you stay in PALM 235.

“Excellent Vacation”

We had a wonderful stay last April at Palm 235 Patara Prince. The place is charming. We will be back soon for a longer vacation.

Palm 235 Patara Prince is a fabulous villa which has been lovingly refurbished. The interior is tastefully decorated with lovely furnishings. Very clean villa and with all the amenities you require. I would recommend this villa to all friends and family and I would return here without a doubt. Palm 235 exceeded my expectations and look forward to returning here in the near future. The grounds of Patara Prince are delightful with 3 outdoor pools to choose from, our favourite being the infinity pool which we had to ourselves most days. There is a delightful outdoor area at Palm 235 overlooking the Med where you can sit and chill in the evenings. This is a definite in our books for a return visit.
