In addition, we offer a complimentary Turkish BBQ night for every group of guests and for bookings of two weeks or more, we will provide a traditional Turkish breakfast, complete with gozleme- Turkish pancakes made by one of the local village ladies. You also have the option of having other delicious meals prepared for you during your stay (or even a fully catered holiday if you prefer) - the owner is a fantastic professionally trained cook, and can provide a choice of menus, including both traditional Turkish and international dishes (we can provide sample menus on request) All food is made using locally sourced, mostly organic products.

Villa Paradise Gardens is ideal for those who who seek peace and tranquility in an authentic setting on their holiday- the village of Uzumulu is a traditional working Turkish village with two small mini markets selling every day essentials, a barbers and a Pide (pizza) restaurant. The fantastic Lycian Way walking route passes directly through the village, making the villa an ideal stop off point for walking enthusiasts. When you're ready for a slightly faster pace of life, the beautiful resort of Kalkan is just a 6km drive away- a beautiful village with a small harbour, an abundance of top end restaurants and plentiful boutique shops. Slightly further afield there are ample places to visit including both Patara and Kaputas beaches, a plethora or ancient Lycian sites including Xanthos, Myra and Kekova and Letoon. Private boat trips can easily be arranged for a day's sailing along the Turquoise Coast.

"Simply stunning"

Our 2 families had a 12 day stay at this wonderful villa set in the hills a short distance from Kalkan. The villa is immaculate and spacious with a lounge area on each of the 3 floors ,large bedrooms all with an outside terrace and en suite bathrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen and laundry room. The outside is surrounded by terraces which are not overlooked, with a stone built BBQ, with seating area and large infinity pool surrounded by sun loungers that kept the children and adults entertained for hours! The views towards Patara beach and the mountains are breath-taking. The village is a lovely 5 minute walk away, with 2 small shops, 2 barbers where my husband enjoyed his Turkish shaves, and a restaurant. Living in a village gives you a glimpse of how the locals live, and my youngest enjoyed following a local, walking his cow!

Debbie and Ramazan were so welcoming and came in and cooked us several meals as Debbie is a trained chef and Ramazan cooked us 2 lovely barbeques!

They also organised our airport transfers, car hire, and several wonderful excursions for us which made our holiday preparations so much easier!

The peace and quiet was lovely, there is no better place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We would recommend this villa for families or groups. We had a fabulous time and will defintely be going back!!

"Great place to completely relax and kick back"

I visited Villa Cennet Bahcesi for the first time recently although the greeting from the owner made me feel like I had known her all my life. The Villa is situated high up in the mountains outside Kalkan and offers spectacular 360 degree views from it's huge wrap around terrace, which also incorporated an infinity pool. Whilst the rooms were fairly simple, they were very comfortable and all had access to outside space as well as a kitchen area. Although bookings are on a b&b basis, you can have dinner as an added extra, which we did and the owner, who I am told is a trained chef, supplied us with a sumptuous meal that would not have been out of a place in a high class restaurant. I would absolutely recommend this as a great place to stay if you really want to get away from it all and chill or want a walking holiday - loved it & definitely going back

"A peaceful, well appointed villa in a village setting with fantastic views and warm welcome."

I have just returned from a fantastic week with Debbie and Ramazan. The appartment was very comfortable and the views from my bedroom stunning. The terraces wrap around the appartment and this meant that I could follow the sun, or shade, throughout the day. Debbie is a great cook. Her meals are delicious and include traditional Turkish fare. The welcome extended to me was very warm and friendly. I will definitely be going back. Loved it

Location description from manager

The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region

Turkey's Mediterranean shore, called the Turquoise Coast, is nearly 1600 km (994 miles) long, scattered with fine-sand beaches and sprinkled abundantly with classical cities turned to picturesque ruins.

It has more and better beaches and resorts than does the Aegean coast, and warmer, saltier water than the Black Sea coast.. The Taurus (Toros) Mountains form a dramatic backdrop along much of the coast, often dropping steeply right into the sea, but in some places rivers have washed down enough sediment over the ages to form beaches backed by fertile alluvial plains good for growing cotton, vegetables, and even tropical fruits like bananas.

Southwest Turkey, along and inland from the popular "Turquoise Coast", was home to the ancient Lycians who were one of the most enigmatic people of antiquity. Although little historical record has been left behind them, what has been discovered reveals a fascinating people culturally distinct from the rest of the ancient world. Around twenty major sites remain today with the Lycians' unusual funerary architecture dominating the breathtaking unspoiled land of Lycia.

Kalkan

Uzumulu Villa is a 6km, 10 minute drive from the town of Kalkan. Kalkan is an elegant harbour town set in the heart of the old Lycian region. It is cosmopolitan, with wonderful restaurants and great places to stay. The Taurus Mountains provide a stunning backdrop, whilst the views across the bay are remarkable

This beautiful and sophisticated bougainvillea-covered harbour town is set in a breathtaking landscape in the heart of the Turquoise Coast.

Tourism is still relatively new in Kalkan, with the first visitors being yachtsmen who discovered the delights of the harbor and the town in the late 1980's.Strict conservation laws have ensured that the heart of the old village retains an authentic ambience that attracts (according to the Sunday Times) the sort of visitor who might also be enchanted by, say, Tuscany or the Dordogne. The result is a discerning mix of predominantly British guests together with Istanbul Turks attracted by Kalkan's reputation within Turkey.

Winding cobbled streets, colourful shops and excellent harbour-side or roof terrace restaurants and bars are combined with stunning views – whether you are looking up to the dramatic Toros mountains behind the town, or down across the harbour to the broad sweep of the Mediterranean
