A beautiful villa with private swimming pool and garden set in a quiet and peaceful location set next to a mature olive grove. With spectacular views of both Kalkan and Kalamar bays.
New for this year is the addition of wi-fi at the villa.
It's the perfect spot for a totally relaxing and stress free holiday with all amenities on the doorstep but offering total peace and quiet.
We are situated at the top of the town and the nearest restaurants, supermarkets, shops, banks and the weekly market is just a 7-8 minute walk away. Also the bus station is about the same distance making it so easy to visit any of the other attractions the area has to offers. The harbour is within easy walking distance, it takes about 15-20 minutes, that's if you don't get distracted by the lovely shops Kalkan has to offer or stop for drink on the way down.

The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region
Set in a small sophisticated resort on the Turkish Mediterranean Riviera in ancient times known as the Lycian region.
The town nestles at the foot of the Taurus Mountains and was once a small simple fishing village. Whilst the town has maintained much of its original charm it is now one of the most up and coming resorts of this region.
Kalkan consists of narrow cobbled streets which all lead to the picturesque harbour.
It has a wonderful array of restaurants where you can sample some of the finest cuisine in the world, many with roof top terraces offering a wonderful view of the harbour and the starlight night sky. Alternatively you can watch the gullets and fishing boats from one of the many harbour side restaurants. There are a few bars available in both areas for a relaxing drink at any time of the day or night.
Market day is Thursday selling a wide variety of goods including locally grown produce, particularly good value are the herbs and spices. In the town there is a wide selection of shops selling beautiful Turkish carpets, jewellery, antiques and wonderful clothing made from the finest Turkish cotton which open well into the late hours. There are also several
supermarkets some offering delivery service to your villa.
There is a small pebbled beach by the harbour and there are also beach clubs available which offer relaxing sunbathing and swimming in the warm turquoise ocean. Some of them offer water-sports such as snorkelling, scuba-diving, wind-surfing, diving, sailing, fishing and other fun activities. For the more energetic you can also take part in mountain climbing, trekking, parascending, caving and walking, all available locally.
On those days when you wish to venture away from the resort why not visit one of the abundant ancient sites from the Lycian era. Close by are Patara, Xanthos, Letoon and Tlos, or further afield are the marvellous sights of Kekova, Myra, Olympos and even Ephesus. One of our favourites for all the family is to cool down at the amazing Saklikent Gorge.
Kalkan, once visited will never be forgotten and is often re-visited, we certainly fell in love with Kalkan and it’s wonderful people and we hope you will too.

"Just love the peace, the food, the Turkish people, the scenery.."
This is an excellent property, very clean and very well looked after, located on the hills that surround Kalkan with views over the stunning bay. We have been several times before, on our own and with family, and will be there again in May. The terrace is an excellent place to have a BBQ, a few cold drinks and watch the sun go down. The night sky is full of stars making the area just as stunning during the evening as it is throughout the day. The people are very friendly and within a short drive to town, or by taxi, there are many different places to eat, part of the fun is finding your favorites. It is also a good base to travel further afield, to Kas the next town along the coast or to Patara with it's fantastic beach, both are also accessible via local bus services.
Thanks so much for the lovely review and we are delighted that you love Villa Tahta, Kalkan and Turkey as much as we do. We normally walk to the centre of Kalkan ourselves, it only being a 10 minute walk to the nearest restaurants and shops and a further 5 minutes into the heart of the village. We agree about the Turkish people they are so friendly and generous and really make the holiday special. We too have spent many hours watching the sun go down and then the magnificent star lit sky, very special.

"Fantastic retreat in Fantastic Kalkan"
Everything you could want in a holiday villa, great views, private, well kept, clean, modern and relaxed. Have stayed at Villa Tatha 7 times over the years and aithough we have stayed elsewhere in Kalkan, this is the one we love to go back to, if we aren't too late booking! Kalkan offers the best restaurants in the Med, from silver service to local pides and you cant find a bad place to eat, it can be pricey but you get what you pay for. The locals are great and its amazing how quickly you make friends. Taxis and Dolmus are always available and as Kalkan is hilly, we generally like to get a ride back to the villa after a hard days relaxing. We can only find one problem with Kalkan and that is we love it so much we dont want to go anywhere else!
Thanks for the lovely review, we are so pleased you love our villa and we hope to hear from you again the next time you visit Kalkan.

"Peace & Tranquility"
Beautiful Villa, so relaxing and peaceful, the villa is beautiful and has everything you need on the inside, outside is fantastic, such a pretty setting, especially at dusk when all the outside of the villa could be lit up, spotless pool, much needed to cool off under the hot kalkan sunshine, we wanted to stay forever.
Thanks guys for a lovely review, we are really delighted that you enjoyed staying in our Turkish home and that you appreciated beauty of the location of the villa.
