Getting around

Kalkan is not a large town but it is hilly in places. It is possible to walk around the resort. The old town is pedestrian only in high season. Taxis are readily available and are fairly cheap. There are quite a few fabulous historical sites within an hours drive from Kalkan, some much closer! Car hire is also an option. There are quite a few car hire companies in Kalkan. The bus station is 0.5km from the Villa. So this would also be a convenient form of sightseeing for guests staying at Yaz Evi. There is also a petrol station beside the bus station.

Very Good

“Great villa, great place. We will be back. Kalkan and Yaz Evi have everything for a great holiday”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2013

My husband wasn't initially too keen to visit turkey. I went ahead and booked this beautiful villa for my 16 yr old daughter, 13 yr old son , my husband and myself! On arrival we were met by Gareth who is a fountain of knowledge. We had hired a car at the airport so he met us as we drove into kalkan and escorted us to the villa. (It was midnight) He showed us around and gave us his number incase we needed anything The next morning we saw kalkan properly for the first time. The villa commands wonderful views. What a lovely sight. We popped down to The Lighthouse restaurant at the harbour for breakfast, which is lovely. We got in some provisions, got our bearings and found the Kalamar beach club. We found the car very convenient although Taxis are in abundance and cheap. The villa has everything. Hair driers, towels, even cafetiers for your coffee! It is a beautifully appointed house. The pool area is fantastic and free wifi such a bonus with two teenagers!! Kalkan is a gem of a place. Perched on a hillside, you walk down cobbled streets to the harbour. We ate in some of the best restaurants we have ever eaten in (we do travel a lot). Mussaka, Gironda, aubergine and Sade were our favourite restaurants. The shopping in kalkan is good too! We spent a couple of days at the Kalamar beach club where our son and daughter learnt to scuba dive. They have all sorts of water sports here. We all swam out to the trampolines in the sea which are great fun. There are flying fish, banana boats etc I needed to visit a doctor whilst in kalkan. Gareth popped up to the villa on his moped and escorted me! Gareth was a true asset to our holiday. His knowledge made everything so easy. He recommended a visit to Gocek on our drive back to the airport. We stopped there for lunch, another lovely little place. All in all we had a superb family holiday. The people were very friendly, the villa gorgeous, the place itself beautiful. My sceptical husband is a convert. He loved it all. We will definitely be back.

“Beautiful accommodation with all the necessary facilities to make our stay in Wonderful Kalkan Sublime!”

What a beautful Villa set above the town of Kalkan with of course panaramic views of the the surrounding Kalkan and sea area. The Villa has a very well appointed patio area very good for alfesco dining, sun bathing and taking in the veiws of the surrounding area and when you get to warm its very refreshing to take a dip in the pool. The town of Kalkan is a pleasant stroll down hill from the villa and on the way to the centre of the old town you can avail yourself of many of the bar,s restaurants and coffee shops. We after a nights dining in many of the wonderful restaurants just took a local Taxi Cab back to the Villa Cheap as Chips. We are both looking forward to spending more time in this superb Villa xx

“Our seconed visit and still fantastic !!!”
