Moonraker House is an exclusive boutique, luxury home that is available for exclusive hire, with our without services, which can include a cooked breakfast, lunch, high tea and evening dinning. Nestled in the native tree canopy, it overlooks the iconic Split Apple Rock(1 minute stroll to the beach and the Nelson and Kaikoura ranges. It is only a 5 minute drive to the famed Kaiteriteri beach and 4 minutes to Marahau, the last small township before the incredible Abel Tasman National Park. Motueka is just a 15 minute drive and Moonraker House is 50 minutes from Nelson City.

You will feel serene in our stunning, tree canopy purpose-built property, established to deliver an unforgettable New Zealand visitor experience.

Now take a moment to transport yourself to our gorgeous tree top house as you stand on the deck overlooking Split Apple Rock and beyond, while you consider your itinerary options for the days ahead. Picture yourself experiencing the feeling of the breeze in your hair as you take in the panoramic views, mesmerizing birdsong and the humming of the bees in the kanuka trees, along with the sweet smells of our fresh native tree canopy and glow worm stream as it meanders out to sea. The morning sunrise and evening moon rise are quite a splendor to watch, as you sit in your bed or on the deck and enjoy mother nature’s show with your favorite hot or cold beverage. If your lucky, you will see the migration of dolphins and the occasional whale.

Sitting outside on the deck, your surroundings will provide you with breathtaking views, and the serenity around you will make you forget the stress of daily life, while indulging in the local cuisine and beverages, from natural lemonade, craft beer and boutique wine available to you if you wish.

We have an appreciation for simplicity and good old-fashioned values and hospitality. The airs and graces are left at the door, so that you can feel at home and among friends. However there is no awkwardness, as all your needs will be met and we leave quietly when you want to be left alone.

The house has three bedrooms, the master with a beautiful custom made double bed and the two other rooms with wood split doubles for practical family or group dynamics. The optional malty purpose sleep out can be included by request.

There are boat transports to the beach or road access to the close townships with a selection of eateries and activities. On request we can provide a cooked breakfast, lunch, high tea or dinner of home style dinning, using local produce where possible.

We are passionate about our environment and share a great selection of local books from past and present information.

Children are welcome and we encourage a fun experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

We are specialist in providing a boutique event service for significant events, such as weddings, elopements and birthdays or reunions as well as corporate events. Please simply ask us for further information.

How do damage deposits work?
