Javea boasts one of the world's best climates, with an average of 325 days sunshine a year. Our apartment is on a small low rise development in Cala Blanca, one of the most desirable residential areas in Javea. The main beach of El Arenal is within 5 minutes by car or bus and there are two beautiful bays and a stunning coastline just behind the apartment. There are neighbourhood restaurants and supermarkets and the local bus stops very close to the entrance to the site.

The apartment is a duplex on the first floor with easy access by lift from the ground floor and the secure underground car park. There is a large pool with a shallow area for children, set in attractive landscaped gardens. There are two sun terraces for eating out and watching the sunset over Mount Montgo.

The apartment is designed on two floors. The downstairs hallway leads to a well equipped kitchen and utility room containing a fridge-freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.

Patio doors lead to a sheltered sun terrace with a table and chairs for six people to eat out. The upper hall leads to a double bedroom with a second sun terrace and bathroom with shower and WC. There is a twin bedded room with a good sized built-in wardrobe and bedside tables. There is air con upstairs and downstairs.

The Valencian Country region

Javea is located in the east of Spain (the Valencia Region) within the province of Alicante on the Costa Blanca.

The hinterland including the town is called La Marina Alta. The region has some of the most beautiful countryside and coast lines in Spain and is reportedly one of the healthiest places in the world to live!

Inland from Javea, a 30 minute car journey from the coast will take you through some of the most stunning and surprising landscapes, offering a taste of the real rural Spain. Close by are the historic towns and villages of the Jalon valley with wine and olive plantations and many bars and restaurants serving some of the best of Spain's traditional cuisine. Making a tour further inland is well worthwhile to see the spectacular Sierra ranges (mountain ranges) with their opportunities for mountain walking, climbing and birdwatching.

It is easy to get to Valencia by road or train (from Ghandia) or, if you prefer to visit other coastal towns, there is Moraira, Calpe and the historic town of Altea to the south.

Javea

Javea is not solely a tourist destination and has restaurants and facilities open all year round. The old town and the port in particular are both parts of the settlement where there are local residents as well as tourists which makes for a more lively cultural atmosphere.

You may of course just sit in the sun and soak up the lovely sunshine, enjoying pool or beaches but there are places to see too. The lively market in the medieval old town on Thursdays is a must - a place you can pick up a bargain and stock up on supplies of fruit and vegetables if you plan eating in the apartment. There is a splendid Tapas fiesta in September and there are many great tapas bars and restaurants at any time of year. Whether you like to eat in traditional Spanish restaurants or want to enjoying other kinds of international cuisine Javea has a fantastic choice.
