Modern 'cottage style' two and three bedroomed mobile homes some with wooden terraces on fantastic emplacements surrounded by hedges and trees. We are situated on a superb, well run 5* campsite in the bustling and picturesque seaside resort of Jard sur Mer.
We can offer expert and friendly advice at every stage of your holiday from your first enquiry to the final booking and because we are based on-site during the holiday season our assistance continues throughout your holiday.
The mobile home contains everything you need for a self catering holiday.
The campsite has a superb large outdoor heated swimming pool complex, waterslides with plunge pool and lovely children's pool. There is also a large sunterrace, complete with sunloungers, ideal for parents to relax whilst the kids make friends in the pool and have a great time.
Adjacent to the pool is the spacious bar, gamesroom and amphitheatre. Wi-fi is available in the bar and popular sports events are shown on the large screens throughout the season. During the high season the campsite organises a varied and lively entertainment programme including a kids club, live music, magicians, shows and discos.

“Great First Stay.”
This was the 1st time we have used Thomas James Holidays and found them very good.Booking was easy online and the caravan was lovely.James was always on hand and very helpful.Lovely holiday in a lovely area of France.
“Superb caravan in fantastic location.”
We returned to Jard Sur Mer, after a great holiday there last year, also with Thomas James holidays. This year we had a 3 birth caravan with covered decking. The campsite is nicely run, with a kids club (which we didn't use), swimming pool, games area and playground. There is a range of entertainment during the day and in evening. We recommend the circofly acrobatic show, but other than that it was music or disco based. The bar area is pleasant but not very comfortable. The new indoor pool is great. And the new layout of the outdoor pool is fab. Still has slides for kids. And a new sun bathing area slightly away from the splashes of the pool. Jard Sur Mer is a quick walk to the town centre and a very pleasant flat walk to the harbour. Thomas James have THE best enclosures, providing more usable space outdoors that alot of other companies. The caravan was well laid out, and well maintained. The decking was well worth the extra money, it kept the dirt out of the caravan. And as we had a couple of rainy days the canopy allowed us to sit out without getting wet.
“Fantastic value, helpful staff, very clean accommodation”
I can't fault James and Trevor for their attention to detail and friendly service. We were a couple staying with our dog in September, a quiet time of year for the French season. The mobile home was very clean, with nice touches like milk and a couple of beers in the fridge on arrival and sachets of tea and coffee. The outside dining table and chairs, plus two sunloungers looked very inviting, although we ended up arranging them into barricades to keep our dog from wandering off (that was entirely our problem, I wouldn't want the mobile home to be fenced in. James and Trevor popped by regularly to ask if there were any problems, which was very reassuring. The site itself was at its best at such a quiet time of year, which meant plenty of sunloungers around the pool, though it might be too quiet for some families seeking entertainments in the bar. If I had one suggestion, it would be for a bathroom floor mat to be provided along with the tea towels. We used a towel of our own, and these mats are available for hire along with other extras, but I would think a few holidaymakers might decide to go without, and I fear for the laminate flooring!
“fantastic family holiday”
Brilliant location - accommodation very clean and equipped with everything you need. Site is great various slides and swimming pool for the children and play areas. Nice walk down to the harbour for the evening market on a Thursday and lots of places to have a meal all family friendly. Shop on site but super U only a short walk away. This is our third time with Thomas James Holidays and only have positive feedback for them, great value holiday for the family, James is available at any time should you encounter any problems or just need more info about surrounding area. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed with Thomas James Holidays for the fourth year in a row, that in itself speaks volumes. The caravan was spotlessly clean on arrival, in a perfect location within the holiday site and well kitted out. Thomas James Holidays are on hand for help/advice to make sure that you have a wonderful holiday but are never intrusive. We really cannot fault them at all, and as a result have recommended Thomas James Holidays to a number of friends. That is the highest recommendation possible. Will we return? - definitely!

“Lovely family resort”
James was an excellent host who was friendly, helpful and keen to please. The site was clean and well positioned, around a 10 minute walk to the port, beach and town. The plots were generously sized and at the back of the site so the noise from the club house and cars werent a problem. The pool was great for our kids who are 4, 6 and 9. Kids club was fine for the younger 2 and the older one played football and table tennis with friends. The caravan was clean and well equiped and the holiday was great value.
“Great accommodation, lovely place”
Just got back from a week at the campsite in a Thomas James mobile home. The mobile home was great - spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Great location too - few minutes' drive to the harbour or town for nice restaurants, or 10 mins walk. Loads of lovely beaches a few mins drive away too. Should've taken our bikes with us, it's v quiet and everyone cycles around. Jard is lovely - clean, v tidy, and the whole area is very stylish. Must have a good town planner or something! Campsite was quiet which suited us, pool and flumes were great but rather chilly at this time of year. Weather was amazing though - hot sunshine & blue skies every day. James was really friendly and went out of his way to be helpful, and the guide about the local area (produced by Thomas James) was very useful. All in all we had a great time, can't think of anything negative.
“Great holiday at this site”
We booked 2 caravans with Thomas James Holidays for our extended family. The vans were located next to each other and so was very convenient for all the family. The drive from the ferry was not too bad, no better or worse than any other drive we have undertaken to sites in this area. The site was easy to find and checking in was very straightforward. We loved the site and the surrounding area. The one rainy day was spent in the zoo at Les Sables, but the rain did not last long....For young kids we would recommend the castle in nearby Talmont. They had a display where you could train to be a "Knight" and our grandchildren really enjoyed it. We also visited La Rochelle - not really a place to drag young children around but has a really nice old port area. The bar in the site offered lots of entertainment and over our 2 weeks there was not much of a repetition of the acts. The bar prices were a little high, as was the takeaway food but no more than expected really. Thomas was around every day, checking that all was OK. We got plenty of information from him on local events. All in all a great holiday and we have booked up to return in 2013.
“excellent better then i expected and will definantly return”
after losing are holiday to tunisia due to passport office inefficient service we were down in the dumps children were let down and we didnt have alot of spare cash so we looked for something cheap but being peak season no such luck but we decided to look for a quick caravan break and found a thomas james chalet to rent in a place called jard sur mer so we thought lets chance it and try it accomodation really good everything you really need is provided in the chalet even though we packed as if we were moving house the site its self is fantatstic loads of kids good pool and facilities and something always on for the children and the evening entertainment is better than alot of these so called posh hotels the sites a little expensive but so is the majority of france we spent 7 nights at the site but we also travelled to paris and went up the eiffle tower which wqs amazing aswell as going to euro disney which was even better tried to book euro disney online which going through a uk site they wanted 1300 for two nights little bit of a rip off i booked a etap for two nights 5 mile outside the village and paid on entry alot easier on the pocket also would like to mention we never used a sat nav to get to the chalet due to tom tom taking 4 days to deliver something to ur account after a insant payment but the directs from james were spot on and and we got there no problems
