The ground floor apartment, in this two storey dwelling , was built in the early Edwardian era, as a home for the management of one of the local soap works. The sitting room still retains the height and decorated ceiling particular to the fashion of the day.
The apartment is self-contained and offers straight forward comfort for the independently minded holiday maker. There is a private garden accessed by a path to the side of the property. There are some very local shops and a rich variety of restaurants hopefully satisfying all grastonomic tastes.

The apartment is on two levels with one step from one level to the other.

The parking is for two cars but only one of these spaces is available for guests.
The Middlesex region
Now superseded by the A4 and the M4, the A315, where the apartment is situated, was the main road to the South West and in particular to Bath, hence the many hostelries along its way! Some of these are now recommended "gastro-pubs." Isleworth itself was a port on the River Thames when the Thames was a busy transport artery.. The surrounding area was planted as market gardens and orchards, and in times gone by the apprentices from the London Guilds spent their holidays fruit picking in the area, hence the very famous inn right by the Thames in Old Isleworth, The London Apprentice. Isleworth was also famous for its soap works , where the original Pears Soap was manufactured.
Some suggested places of local interest for starters might be Syon House, a National Trust Property famous for its Adam interior and flourishing garden centre.
Osterley House, another National Trust property with an Adam interior set in extensive and beautiful, park land.
The Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew, world famous and special in any season of the year.
The Musical Museum in Brentford with its Mighty Worlitzer!
Waterman’s Art Centre also in Brentford, showing current films and art house theatre.
It is now possible to walk the whole length of the River Thames, and it is easy though a small challenge, to walk to Richmond along the tow path, take a look around and then walk on up to Richmond Park.
Plenty of good shopping can be found in the Westfield Centre Shopping Mall in Shepherds Bush, and in Kingston, Ealing and Hounslow town centres. Both Chiswick and Richmond make for nice visits with lots of speciality shops and pleasant restaurants.
There are river boat trips to Westminster (downstream) and up to Hampton Court Palace (upstream) from Kew Pier.

"Lovely accomodation and most friendly owner"
Super clean, spacious rooms with a complete set of nice extras in the kitchen and convenient location to transport links - the best value in town and a friendly owner as well. Five minutes walk to train station and half an hour later you are in the centre of London. Would most definately choose again.

"An Excellent base in London"
We had a great few weeks in this apartment. It is truly a home from home break with everything you need supplied. It is an excellent location with a wealth of transport facilities. The River Thames is a short stroll away or take a short bus ride to Richmond or Twickenham for excellent shopping, restaurants and bars. We personally would recommend the Fox in Twickenham for great food and location to the River. From here take a walk over the bridge to Eel Pie Island a hidden gem in London. Richmond is beautiful on a sunny day, we had lots of good days there even though our stay was in Winter. Closer to the apartment the Coach & Horses is a cosy English pub with excellent food to suit all tastes, Syon House is also worth a visit, beautiful open space with a good cafe. Kew Gardens is a short drive away also. Wendy is an excellent host, always cheerful and cannot do enough to make your stay a memorable one. We would have not hesitation in returning, an excellent London base.

We spent a week at this charming and comfortable flat and loved everything about it. Wendy, the owner, has obviously taken great care to furnish and outfit the flat. The location is excellent for West London with all of its beautiful parks and attractions such as Hampton Court Palace. A very convenient bus takes you right into central London, or to the nearby underground or rail station. Wendy is a wonderful neighbor and most helpful host.

"Wonderful flat, fabulous host who went above & beyond"
This flat is a nice 1 bedroom that is exactly as advertised. The bed is comfortable. The living room is homey and spacious. There is a nice table to eat meals at, the kitchen is easy to cook in, with everything you need. Wendy is wonderful. She let my friend come in earlier in the day to leave us goodies, she picked us up at the train station, even though it is easy to get to transit from the house. It was a fantastic stay.

"Lovely flat with a wonderful landlady!"
Comfortable, well-equipped flat. I had a most enjoyable stay. I was in London to see operas, plays and exhibitions, and also wanted to get to know an area of London I hadn't visited before. Isleworth is convenient for public transport to Central London - good rail service, and tube (Piccadilly Line) a short bus-ride away. There are trains, tubes and buses till late in the evening. It's also easy to get to local attractions - Kew Gardens, Richmond, Thames Path, Union Canal walkway. The owner, Wendy, who lives in the flat upstairs, was helpful, and knowledgeable. She very kindly gave me lifts to and from the staion on several occasions.

"Great location, wonderful host and excellent accommodation."
We really enjoyed our stay in Isleworth. Wendy is a great host. The accommodation was excellent, in fact we decided to stay a second time after our visit to The Isle of Wight . The location proved perfect for us with buses and trains only a short distance from the front door. We will definitely be back. Maureen and Michael

"Excellent base for a stay in London"
Excellent self contained ground floor flat. Clean, comfortable and spacious, with all the facilities to make you feel at home. Wendy was an extremely friendly and helpful host, who ensured my month's stay was very pleasant. Very close to station and bus stop, so ideal for exploring all parts of London Highly recommended

"A great place to stay"
My sister and I stayed here briefly and found it perfect The flat was beautifully clean and very comfortable, and Wendy was extremely helpful The lounge in particular was a delightful place to recover from a hard day in London It is close to the station and there are some good eating places nearby Highly recommended
