Situated in the heart of the village, the property is within a short walk of the village stores and a couple of pubs including the Castle Inn, a 16th century thatched tavern reputed to be one of the oldest public houses in Dorset.

The Isle of Purbeck region

Dorset's beautiful and dramatic scenery has long made the county a favourite with writers, poets and film crews. Jurassic cliffs plunge alongside picturesque harbour towns and coastal resorts, providing an impressive backdrop for the many popular Dorset holiday destinations. Blue Chip Holidays can offer Dorset holiday cottages in many of the county's towns, each of which has a slightly different experience to offer than the next. Poole has one of the world's largest natural harbours. Portland Castle was built in 1539 by Henry VIII to defend Weymouth. Tours of Thomas Hardy's Dorset are operated throughout the county.

Isle of Purbeck

The Isle of Purbeck is the perfect location for peaceful Dorset holidays, and a Purbeck holiday cottage places guests close to a beautiful coastline which is part of the first World Heritage Site in England. The sandy beaches of Swanage and Studland are not only great for fossil hunting in the winter but are ideal for family beach holidays on Purbeck in the warmer months. The striking Corfe Castle between the Purbeck Hills is a fascinating sight that shouldn't be missed. The Isle of Purbeck is also a haven for walkers and cyclists with the South West Coast Path framed by spectacular scenery. Enid Blyton based Noddy's Toytown on Swanage. Purbeck stone is used in many famous cathedrals and buildings. Scenes for the film 'Nanny Mcphee' were shot at Durdle Door.
