Greenbank is just 4 miles north of Tarbert in the hamlet of Bunavoneader (heading along the A859 to Stornoway and turning off along the B887 to Amhuinnsuidhe & Hushinish).

This 'home from home' offers peace and tranquility in a rural setting with an open outlook over West Loch Tarbert. Mountains surround the property and Greenbank shelters in the lee of the majestic Clisham, the highest peak on Harris.

The accommodation includes:

2 bedrooms - a master king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom

Living room with patio door and multi-fuel burning stove in a hand-crafted fireplace (sourced from Harris stone)

Dining area through open archway off living room

Large well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar

Bathroom with large bath, toilet and separate shower

Additional separate toilet

Oil filled central heating

Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, televisions with freesat, DVD player and CD player

Greenbank has its own private enclosed garden and picnic table – parking area is available adjacent to the garden (directly beside the kitchen)

There is a good selection of games, puzzles and books for rainy days

Travel cot available on request

Bed linen and towels are provided

All rooms are mainly on one level (except there is an internal step down to the kitchen and to the bathroom) and the property is accessible via two (2) entrance steps.

Pets are very welcome.

The price includes all electricity. Some coal, kindling and logs are provided for the multi-fuel burning stove to get you started, and additional supplies are available for purchase locally if required.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Irene (the owner) a message.

If Irene (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
