“Loved seaview chalet”
Great location, close to Tarbert. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well equipped chalet which had everything we needed and was very warm and cosy. The owner's motherinlaw was there to welcome us and was so helpful, warm and friendly in every way. I would love to have spent longer here. Harris has wonderful beaches and my two dogs had a ball! Hopefully we will return!
“Warm and welcoming accommodation in a wonderful location”
we loved our stay at Seaview Chalet, such a warm and welcoming place. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped, with beautiful views over the Loch, and is well placed as a base to explore Harris and Lewis. We were made most welcome by Joan, and would highly recommend this accommodation
Great location for the hills and beaches, very peaceful. A lovely wee chalet which had everything we could have needed. (Could maybe have done with some instructions for using the oven but we managed eventually!). Loved the fresh raspberries from the poly tunnel too.
“perfect holiday cottage”
Seaview Chalet was very comfortable with everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Our host Joan was very friendly and helpfull.A good base to explore the isle of Harris with wonderfull veiws from the chalet. We wished we had booked it for longer we will next time .
For a weekend away this chalet was nice enough for our purposes, but needs just a little bit of attention to detail to make it so much better. A reasonable sea view spoilt a bit by a polytunnel at the window. Fittings are a little aged, and doors are all badly fitting, the bedroom door didn't actually close. We were a little disappointed that there was some sort of plastic or polythene sheet on the bed. On the positive side, the chalet is situated in a peaceful and beautiful location, and there was no electric coin meter (as I noticed late on was stated on the advert) so my pile of coins went back home. We did enjoy our weekend and it's always what you make of it, but just a little more thought and it would be great for even a long holiday.
“Ideal holiday chalet”
The chalet is in an ideal position for touring Lewis and Harris. The 3 windows in the living/kitchen area gave great views of the surrounding hills, and a reasonable view of the bay. We really enjoyed watching the changing light and weather from the chalet. The kitchen was very well equipped, and there is good space for eating and relaxing. There are good facilities for eating out in Tarbert, which is just a short drive away. A very enjoyable week.
Our landlord (or more correctly his mother-in-law) was incredibly helpful, generous and kind to us. The cottage is relatively small, but has a large extremely well-equipped kitchen (far better than the typical self-catering), complete with washer and dryer. It also has DVDs, a pile of boardgames, TV/wifi and a stash of light reading for those inevitable rainy days. Although it is a short drive to Tarbert, the cottage is quite isolated and accessible only by a single track road with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. A good place to get away from it all!
