The modern kitchen at the villa has everything needed for self-catering breaks and includes a washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave oven as well as a whole host of other mod cons to make for very easy living. Don't forget though that the bars and restaurants of Isla Plana are just a short stroll away if cooking is not part of the plan!

The elevated position of the villa means beautiful views are easy to come by, particularly from the large roof solarium, although the view from the front veranda certainly won´t disappoint.

Externally there is a small front garden laid to shingle with space to park the car. The outside space continues right round the outside of the villa and this leads to a rear part tiled garden where can be found the BBQ and associated dining area. From here stairs lead to a upper solarium where there is plenty of space to sunbathe on the loungers provided. Here again the views available from here are quite simply stunning and a total 360 degree vista can be enjoyed.

The villa is air conditioned throughout and this provides both cool and heat. This is operated via a payment meter system. Credits are available from ourselves and an air conditioning credit card must be purchased before this can be used.

Wi-Fi internet access is also available at the villa however this attracts a small additional charge (paid locally).

This villa really has the wow factor, and has everything you need for an unforgettable family holiday!

We very much look forward to welcoming you at our stunning villa.

Location description from owner

The Region of Murcia region

Murcia is characterised by its old history of commerce and agriculture. Already its original inhabitants, Iberian tribes, established commercial relations with Phoenicians and Greeks. Later on it became first a Carthaginian colony, then a Roman colony (Carthago Nova, today Cartagena still reminds of that fact).

The Moors established effective and modern agricultural production, which still today is an important economic factor, thanks to their advanced technologies. Of major tourist interest is of course the Mediterranean coast, Costa Calida (the warm coast), with beaches of fine sand. The salt-water lagoon Mar Menor and La Manga del Mar Menor offer great possibilities for water sports.

Isla Plana

Thanks to its location, in a bay, Mazarron is protected from the cool currents from the Atlantic Ocean, and the water temperature is 5 degrees Celsius warmer than in the open Mediterranean. Also there is a very pleasant micro-climate, even in winter the temperatures are about 15 to 20 degrees Celsius. Around Mazarron there are several wonderful and wide sandy beaches which alternate with small bays and cliffs. The latter are of particular interest to divers because of the beautiful underwater world. South of Mazarron there is a 26-kilometer long completely undeveloped stretch of beach - the longest in Spain - with pristine fauna and flora. Off the coast you can watch dolphins and whales.

Puerto de Mazarron is the touristic center of the area, here you find golden sandy beaches such as Playa del Puerto de Mazarron, Playa del Rihuete, Playa de Bahia and Playa de la Reya. All of them having been awarded the Blue Flag of the EU. In the southern direction there are more great sandy beaches, El Castellar (also awarded with a Blue Flag), Bolnuevo, El Rincon, Cobaticas, Percheles and Las Minas. In the south of Puerto de Mazarron there are also several bays with nudist beaches, starting in Puntabela. These beaches are mostly of coarse sand or gravel, except Cala Desnuda which has fine grey sand.

Apart from the beaches, there are some more remarkable sights. Ahead of the beach and Playa de la Isla two Phoenician ships have been found, one of them the oldest and best conserved ever. In a documentation center you can see a replica of the ship in the scale of 1:3, as well as enjoy audio visual presentations. Furthermore you can visit in Puerto de Mazarron the ruins of an ancient Roman salt fish factory.

The town of Mazarron is located about 5 kilometres inland from the beach, at the foot of the volcanoes of Mazarron which are extinct for a long time. Erosion has created from the dried lava streams of the volcano Bolnuevo strange rock formations which are known as Ciudad Encantada de Bolnuevo, meaning Enchanted Town of the Bolnuevo. In the town itself, the church of San Andrés, in typical Mudejar style, the monastery Convento de la Purísimas, the ruins of the castle Castillo de los Vélez, the modernist City Hall and the also modernist Old Cultural Association should be mentioned.
