This new private villa is situated in the Spanish village of Isla Plana. In the busiest season, it gets very lively but still maintains the advantage of not being overcrowded. Though being a small village, Isla Plana has most of the essential amenities viz. a supermarket, a bank with an ATM, a bakery, cafes and restaurants, tobacco shop, a fishmonger, a newsagent, a DIY shop and a Pharmacy. All these amenities are within walking distance from the villa. 8 minutes to the nearest beach, within 15 minutes to the village shops, supermarket and restaurants. Wider, sandy beaches are to be found in less than a 10 minute drive away in the port (Puerto) of Mazarron. The villa offers splendid sea and mountain views from the terrace & rooftop solarium. The garden with the private pool is south-east facing ensuring plenty of sun for the most part of the day. If it gets too sunny, one can retreat to the adjoining shady terrace fitted out with remote controlled ceiling fans. The walled-in solarium

Location description from owner
The Region of Murcia region
Situated on the Mediterranean coast, Costa Calida ("warm coast") offers beaches of fine sand and fine gravel and is an alternative of a healthy lifestyle with nearby EEC certified Blue Flag beaches, unpolluted sea, clean air and fresh food. Away from the coast towards the inland you may visit several towns which still preserve their medieval structures
Murcia The capital of the region, located inland on the banks of the river Segura, is characterised by its history of commerce and agriculture. Already its original inhabitants, Iberian tribes, were involved in trading activities with Phoenicians and Greeks. Subsequently it became a Carthaginian colony, then fell into Roman hands. With the arrival of the Moors, modern agricultural production methods were introduced and, thanks to their advanced technologies, till today agriculture constitute an important economic factor.
Mazarron is a small Spanish town that most people will not have heard of. That is because until recently it was almost solely the Spaniards and “insiders” that knew about this town enjoyed spending time here. Situated in the province of Murcia and in the main town of Mazarron amenities include fresh produce markets, banks, medical facilities, shops etc. A 10-minute drive away, there is its pretty little seafront sister, Puerto de Mazarron. Here you will find a harbour and marina, numerous bars and restaurants. Typical local cuisine includes stews, salads, roasted meat, rice, and of course great sea-food. Do not forget to try the regional wines which are of high quality.
Thanks to its location in a bay, the beaches around Mazarron are protected from the cool currents of the Atlantic where water temperatures are about 5°C warmer than in the open Mediterranean resulting in a very pleasant micro-climate with relative mild winters. Around Mazarron there are several wonderful and wide, sandy beaches which alternate with small bays and cliffs. The latter are of particular interest to divers because of the beautiful underwater world. South of Mazarron there is a 26-kilometer long completely undeveloped stretch of beaches - the longest in Spain - with pristine fauna and flora. Off the coast you can watch dolphins and whales.
Puerto de Mazarron is the touristic center of the area, here you find golden, sandy “Playas” (beaches) of del Puerto de Mazarron, del Rihuete, de Bahia, de la Reyan and de la Pava which have all been awarded the Blue Flag (a Blue Flag is attributed every year by the responsible European Authority to beaches fulfilling strict conditions and offering defined facilities). Further south are more blue flag, sandy beaches of El Castellar, Bolnuevo, El Rincon, Cobaticas, Percheles and Las Minas. South of Puerto de Mazarron there are also several bays with nudist beaches.
Mazarron and the Puerto de Mazarron offer a complete range of facilities, services, sports, tranquility, nature and culture. You can enjoy golf courses, beaches, harbors parks and much more.
Isla Plana is a typical Spanish resort and being small it can be easily overlooked except for the Spanish folk who know a good place when they see it. As you would expect, July and August though being the busiest vacation season Isla Plana offers the advantage that it is still lively but not overcrowded. The sea front in Isla Plana has been refurbished, giving a modern but still Spanish feel, sit on the terrace of the local bar and enjoy a drink whilst watching the sun set over the sea. With its beaches on the one hand and mountains in the opposite direction it has quite a bit to offer. It is a small coastal village with the neighbouring coasts of La Azohia, Puerto de Mazarron and Bolneuvo, all of which having their individual charm and history. Puerto de Mazarron boasts a marina and includes numerous restaurants offering local and international cuisine. Beginning from La Azohia, the area boasts over 35 Km of unspoilt coastline, made up of small inlets, coves and sandy beaches. The waters are wonderfully unpolluted and perfect for aqua activities, with clear views of Mediterranean flora and fauna such as sea bass, moray and moonfish.
The villa is favourably located for trips to:
• Mazarron (13 mins.) and its sister town of Puerto de Mazarron (8 mins) both of which offer a range of shops, supermarkets and other essential household, sporting, cultural and service facilities. A short distance from Mazarrón are several golf courses to be found to suit every golfers taste. Golfing all year round is made possible by the excellent climate
• Cartagena (25 mins) - a historic naval port portraying remnants of its past with an array of shops, monuments and beautiful m
• Murcia (40 mins) - regional historic capital with Moorish charm

- Very Good
We stayed at this beautiful Villa for 2 weeks in August 2016. The Villa is in a fantastic location and is immaculately presented. It had everything we needed for a very relaxing holiday. Heidi the owner has thought of everything! lsla Plana and the surrounding area has lots to see and do. There are blue flag beaches along the coast with some great places to snorkel. The Villa has a wonderful pool and we spent most of our time swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. There is a fabulous BBQ at the Villa which we cooked on most evenings and later we walked to the local social community centre for a drink (very reasonably priced!) or the beach bar which is a 5 minute walk away. There is a local supermarket in Isla Plana where you can buy everything you need but the larger supermarkets are only a 10 minute drive away. We hired a car for the two weeks which gave us the freedom to visit some great places including Cartagena where we saw the amazing Roman Ampitheatre and baths. Cartagena is great for shopping and has lots of places to eat. Mazzaron is only a 10 minute drive away and has a great beach. There are also lots of places to eat and drink and it has a good selection of shops. We have stayed in a number of Villa's over the years and this is one of the best. We will definitely be returning very soon!
Owner's reply: I am very happy that you enjoyed your holiday in our Villa and of course look forward to welcoming again. Thank you so much for your very favorable rating. Best wishes, Heidi
