“Fantastic house for a weekend of fun”

Reviewed 12 May 2017

We booked this house for 26 of us, we had plans to go out but we didn't need to, it was like self contained village! Fantastic house, fantastic location ( when we did go for dinner), everything you need is provided. Debbie, the lady who met us was wonderfully helpful and made us feel welcome straight away. The house is kept perfectly and it was a pleasure to stay there, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to return. The owners are also incredibly helpful. Thanks very much

“Perfect Birthday Weekend with Friends”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2017

We had a group of 22 of us stay at the Old Neptune for my 30th Birthday weekend and it was the perfect setting! The house offered everything we needed to the point where we barely needed to leave, and in a great location right by the harbour! Would definitely stay again if we can find an excuse to get such a big group together again!

“Characteristic house, exudes warmth and a feeling of coziness.”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2016

We were 26 adults who fit into this fabulous house perfectly. It was spacious enough so we were not on top of each other, but small enough to be able to have the feeling of togetherness. Whether it was relaxing in the lounge with the fire lit, or chatting outside in the courtyard, the Old Neptune provided just what we needed. The rooms were all clean and cosy, the kitchen in perfect working order, my friends and I had a memorable weekend to remember.

“Beautiful medieval house”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2016

We rented this house for my sister's hen do and it was perfect. The house is absolutely beautiful, it was a pleasure exploring all the different rooms! It's very well furnished with a lovely courtyard which has the sun all day. Very close to Ipswich Marina which is great for restaurants / bars. Would definitely recommend!

“A magical venue!”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2012

A fantastic venue for a large group. Great location, easy to access all surroundng facilities, bars and shops etc. The house is very well equipped in the kitchen areas and the bedrooms are all decorated tastefully with their own individual theme. The courtyard is beautiful, lovely to sit out for a BBQ. A great place for a party with family and friends! Would definitley consider going again.

“Excellent House - Would highly recommend”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2012

We stayed at The Old Neptune in Ipswich for the weekend of 23rd March 2012 for my sister's Hen weekend, there were 22 ladies and we were all overwhelmed by the house and the facilities it had to offer. The house is a little gem, hidden away in the hustle and bustle of Ipswich's Marina. With 12 bedrooms, all with double or super king sized beds there was plenty of room for everyone, all the bedrooms were decorated to a high standard and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. There was the added bonus of a new sauna fitted, but we didn't know so none of us came prepared to use it. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We had caterers in on the Saturday evening in order to take advantage of the excellent dining room. The lounge was comfortable too. Basically the whole house was beyond what we expected, the house is seeped in history and a real find. The courtyard was exceptional too. A thoroughly great weekend spent by all.
