“Friendly hosts, lots of nice extras, very clean and confortable”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2018

Steam Railway was a lovely day out, Alton Towers fairly close and enjoyable, plenty of good pubs with good food, Thomas Land close enough for a day trip and Freeport Talke well worth a visit.

“Get away place”

Nice little cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Downside for us cottage does not have wifi and area had poor 3G signal not usually a problem but we were waiting for important e mails and calls. However as a get away from it all place it certainly ticks the box

“Cottage 1 stay”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2016

Set in the heart of the countryside, the cottage is perfect for relaxation but at the same time plenty for the children to do. Ann and John were extremely welcoming and if you want a chat with the locals, they are very obliging. Inside is spacious and clean with all the amenities you need for day-to-day living and outside amidst peace and serenity the rolling hills stretch on. The Peak district (including a wild life park and playground) and Alton Towers are just 15 minutes away. With the beautiful towns of Leek and Buxton nearby, you can enjoy a variety of eateries, take a stroll or go for a swim in the well-equipped leisure centres. All this and lots more - including go-carting and cycle hire. Thanks Ann and David for making us feel so welcome and we will be visiting again. Hazel, Leon and Noah

“Quiet, comfortable and clean cottage in a really lovely area”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2014

The owners were very accommodating in handling our long-weekend booking. The cottage has a bright and airy feel to it with remarkable views from the upstairs living areas. Parking is also very handy and it's perfectly practical to park within a few feet of the door. The village of Ipstones, in which it's situated, is a very friendly place with a fantastic shop/post office within a few minutes walk from the cottage. All in all, highly recommended.

“A good cottage in a quiet convenient location.”

Reasonably priced, good views, well located in a thriving village with shop and pub/restaurant within walking distant. Convenient for The Peak District, Alton Towers and Potteries.

“Comfortable stay-Ann and Dave very warm hosts.”

Beautiful location. Close to the potteries which was our reason for staying in the area. Great pub nearby!

“Beautiful location close to tourist attractions.”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

A friendly welcome awaits. The cottage over looks beautiful English countryside. Situated in a lovely country village and close to many tourist attractions e.g The Potteries, Bakewell, Buxton and Alton Towers and Cheddleton steam train just to mention a few. The service and amenities are of a excellent standard. I would recommend this holiday cottage to anyone.

“Clean & comfortable accommodation in a delightful 'get away from it all' location.”

Walks in the Peak District National Park on the doorstep and for the kids Alton Towers and the Cheddleton Steam Railway nearby. A short drive to the market towns of Buxton, Bakewell and Ashbourne through breathtaking countryside. As a regular guest it never pales - very enjoyable!
