Beautiful, spacious and fully equipped city centre 3 double bedroom End Terraced Cottage with beautiful large back garden. Situated near the River Ness, offering a beautiful 5 minute walk into town through old Inverness with truly beautiful views of Inverness Castle and Churches along the way. A 5 minute walk from the Caledonian Canal and Marina, a 30 second walk from the acclaimed Waterfront Bar/Restaurant and local supermarket, this property is ideally situated for making the most of your visit to Inverness without having to rely on cars or taxis.

The cottage has a dining table situated in the livingroom where you can breakfast and dine. The well maintained garden has an outside seated area to relax and enjoy a glass of wine whilst having a barbeque. The living room has a wood burner fire for cosy nights in with 50 inch Freeview flat screen TV and also a DVD player. Superfast Wi-Fi is available at no extra cost.

The Waterfront restaurant/bar is a mere 30 second walk away for those wanting to experience good value quality food on the banks of the River Ness, whilst listening to some of the areas best traditional Scottish folk ballad music.

The property has 3 bedrooms, one of which is a children's room which has two single beds. Cots and High Chairs are available at no extra charge but please request in advance. The other two bedrooms have a double sized beds. All modern appliances available including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, slow cooker, with gas central heating and gas cooking.

No smoking indoors - ashtrays provided in back garden.

About you

My name is Gregor and grew up in the area before moving to Edinburgh and beyond for study and work. I returned to the area in 2010 after tiring of city life. I normally work in health and safety or lifting operations but have previously worked in finance, education among others.

Why this property

I love this house because I have transformed it over the last couple of years, which has been a lot of work but also a labour of love. I love its country feel, its country style kitchen looking out onto the mature garden, the living room with its wood burner for relaxing in front of the fire whilst watching movies or simply enjoying a good book and glass of wine. I may be biased and undoubtedly it has been decorated to my tastes, but it has been decorated with comfort in mind, from the sofa, to the beds, to the fire, to the views from the kitchen window to the garden. Even the walk into town is beautiful along the River Ness over the bridge past the Cathedral to the town centre all in under 5 mins.

I love the garden and the birds which are attracted into it.

You can also access the main arterial road routes from here and be outside Inverness on route into the Highlands in under 5 mins. The banks of Loch Ness can be reached in 10 mins by car, the Spa town of Strathpeffer in 20 mins or some of the UK's best golf courses in 30 mins. Some of the Championship courses designed by Tom Morris and James Braid include Royal Dornoch, Brora, Tain, Castle Stuart, Nairn, Nairn Dunbar and Moray - not a bad collection of courses within easy reach for the golfer.

Similarly many of the famous tourist attractions are within easy drive with the Caledonian Canal a mere 5 minute walk away as are most bars and restaurants

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gregor (the owner) a message.

If Gregor (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
