The large garden has a picnic bench and is fenced. They are frequented by many birds, red squirrels, badgers deer and the occasional pine martin..especially if there is a jam sandwich going!

Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Wild, rugged and remote, the Scottish Highlands are among Europe's last great areas of untamed wilderness. With a charm and grandeur of their own, the Highlands are a place where nature rules supreme.
From Reelig you can explore the wild areas whilst coming home to a convienent location close to the amenities of Inverness and Beauly.

Inverness

Inverness has many attractions, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George are close by and equally the stunning scenery of Glen Affric and Glen Strathfarrar welcomes walker and cyclists.
The local village of Beauly has excellent places to eat and to shop for arts and crafts.

“Comfortable Chalet in great location”

Reviewed 8 May 2017

Peaceful location with some great walks near at hand. Ideal place from which to explore Loch Ness and the surrounding towns and villages. Warm and comfortable and well equipped kitchen. Lots of interesting wildlife around as well. Owners were very helpful with advice and information for walks.

“Lovely setting but within easy driving distance of Inverness”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2014

Beautiful quiet setting on Reelig Estate. Excellent friendly communications from owners. Inverness easily within driving distance with Beauly even closer for shops, cafes etc. Recommend the childrens farmyard experience located on the way to Beauly (think it was Robertsons?). Chalet very well equipped, great shower! Had everything you need inc hairdryer, selection of books and DVDs. I was there with my children and my mother. Lovely outdoor space - very quiet..with chalets interspersed around the trees - we didn't see any of the other occupants while we there. Was ideal for us as a base for travelling to Inverness on a shopping trip. Saw a lot of return visitors in the visitors book - spent an evening with the lights off in the chalet trying to spot a pine marten - alas no luck but so peaceful.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We are trying to get more information together for guests on the surrounding area so your feedback as a visitor is invaluable. We hope to see you again in the future.

“Couldn't ask for anything better - peace, quiet and beauty”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2013

The cottage was extremely clean and well presented with everything we needed; the layout of the cottage was great, especially with 2 dogs who loved the spacious kitchen and garden. We would definitely recommended this cottage to friends and family and would love to return sometime.

Owner's reply: We are really pleased you all enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you back again in the future!
